Should we be concerned with this stat?

That is something you can only learn by playing minutes.

Oh yeah? How come Burks has figured this out while playing much less consistent minutes then??

Favors has been getting a consistent 20 mpg since his rookie season. He has no excuse to be racking up so many fouls on a relatively consistent basis lately.

Uh. Burks has been playing a lot more?

People with a tendency to foul have few reasons to learn to cut them down when it makes no practical impact on their ability to stay on the floor (and rarely play enough minutes to foul out).

Favors will learn when he has to and that's just how it is. I don't really have a problem with that.

So playing a player 5 minutes more per game, for a 10 game stretch will ultimately teach a player the importance of not-fouling. LOL.

It's not about the importance in general, but the necessity in staying on the floor. We all wish Favors would foul less, but until there's a practical necessity for him to make it happen, it's a peripheral issue. He knows he's not playing big minutes.

It's not perfect, but if Favors was going to improve at not fouling in 20 minutes a game no matter how good or bad over three years we would have seen it by now. I can't think of a lot of players who could've been great, but just fouled too much. People learn best when they have to.

And your latter statement simply is not true. Favors gave the Celtics to free-throws for a mindless foul while trying to defend the pick and roll in the 4th quarter. Thats not him trying to just be aggressive in whatever minutes he gets, its just a mental lapse.

This is just a bogus argument. So Favors is gonna keep making boneheaded plays that detriment his team, simply because he knows that he won't get minutes? Why doesn't he just start throwing the ball in the third row of the bleachers as well, while he's at it? Is this why he commits constant travels, and offensive fouls as well? Because he won't be getting that many minutes so **** it??

Four top ten picks, two of the top five FA big men, and lottery picks are on this team. And that doesn't include Mo Williams or Carroll.

It's not a talent problem. We have talent on this team. A LOT of talent. We don't play our talent and our coach doesn't know how to use that talent.

In other words, you don't know a damn thing about basketball offenses and can't come up with one play. Not one. Nor a single suggestion on how stupid Corbin would use this squad correctly like a genius of your caliber would.

Good job, student, but Professor Corbin doesn't care about the troubled kid in the stands.

I'm not debating your offense tidbit. I don't care about that. You said this team lacks talent. I showed you that this team is brimming with talent. And, once again, you skirt the issue.

Good job.

BTW, what does Al bring to this team that makes him essential?

Offense is a tidbit now? Try harder.

LOL @ you. Answer my question, that I have been asking you for a while now, then we will move on to your trivial crap.

What does Al bring that justifies him playing above better players?
