Show Us Your Gaming Rig

I legit have no idea what this means. Like a different language man.

When you take a pic, especially with your phone, besides the image there is data embedded in the image file that gives info about the image (date, time, type of phone, etc.), sometimes your location, sometimes other stuff.

Yeah, I can see going that route as an enthusiast.

1000W is overkill but it's only like $20 more than the 750W PSU and I need a new PSU so I figure give myself some headroom. I typically prefer to just upgrade to a single good current generation graphics card over doing SLI or x-fire, so I don't really need a huge PSU, but better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it especially when the price on that is not too significant in relation to everything else.

problem wwith getting a 1000w, all components get more energy efficient. usually u needed 1000w for video-cards in sli. but now video-cards use little wattage. but hey, i am getting x99 and i dont even need that ****. so knock yaself out :P

Never posting a pic here again.

I use a Nikon DSLR camera when I want to take decent pics. I've never been a fan of phone cameras, even as much improvement as there has been. They simply don't take pics like an actual camera with like an actual camera lens. Only date and time in that file.

Just like with car engines, there's no replacement for displacement, with cameras there is no replacement for an actual camera lense. Those flat lenses on phone cameras simply cannot compete.

It's also the size of the sensor. You can pack a huge sensor in an SLR.

Dang. You guys are some hard core nerds.

Why do people play games on PC's? Don't they make consoles for that stuff, like the XBOX or PlayStation? Do they not compare or something?

No they don't compare.

These are my main specs:

XFX type 1 gaming tower
I7-5820k processor
Liquid cooled
750 Watt EVGA supernova power supply
32 gb DDR4 ADATA Memory
MSI X99A Raider Motherboard
MSI Geoforce 980 TI 6GB Video card

Id post a picture but my desk is littered with tax stuff.

I have built a couple computers myself and like it but I have found that buying one from cyberpower pc during a good sell ends up being cheaper for better parts, they put it together and then you get a bunch of free stuff like monitors, keyboard, mouse and other stuff when the sales are good. I usually buy a computer at black Friday since they are super cheap then.

Hi Computer, let me tell you a little something about Computer...

For real though, man, PC gaming is a different thing than console gaming. I wanted to say it is on a different level, but I'm not trying to be elitist about it.

But You're never going to have the kinds of games on console that you can find on PCs. So there's that whole thing. Indie gaming is pretty big.

Mods are big. You can't really mod your console games like you can PC games. It's a thing.

On my new system I'm going to have a 2k monitor (1440p) and it's going to operate at 144Hz. I know there are games in 4k. I know. But anyway, I can assure you that there will be no console game that can look better, that can be displayed with the same high-end options (on PCs you can actually pick from a variety of video options, and at the top end it is better than any console), you get a better experience on a good gaming PC than you can ever hope to achieve on a console (my new gaming PC will cost over $2000, so there are pretty significant reasons why this is the case).

And to leave you with my closing arguments: Keyboard and mouse. Case closed.
