Pretty great article from SI on the Jazz. Should makes for some interesting JazzFanz conversation.

Great article, thanks. I guess in a way it makes sense why our youngs are sitting, but what happens if the vets can't win? -__- Ultimately, we don't want to be bobcats, kings, wizards, pistons, or bucks.

That depends on your definition of win. Do you mean the championship? If so than no this team cannto do it. However I do think Big Al, Watson, Millsap, Tinsley can teach the young guys how to win. That attitude you need. The young guys will provide the skill sets that the vets do not have.

Not sure if I agree that "this team cannot do it". They certainly aren't going to do it this year. And, yeah, we are probably going to see some changes before the team goes further into the playoffs. But, I believe the core of this team as currently constituted does have the raw talent to be that championship caliber team. They are just very young and inexperienced.

I absolutely agree. My "this team" meant the guys on the roster as they are now. I have very high hopes for The Four.

I guess what I was trying to say is that the progression of this team into a contender has more to do with the young core players and not so much about the veterans/backup players that are put around them. In that sense, I think that "this team" probably could be a contender with the exact same players once those players develop and get some experience under their belt. I don't think that will happen though because there will be some change for sure before that could happen.
 
I thought the article was about a ***** enlargement breakthrough. What a let down.

D-Will may be a better talent, but hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.
 
It would be wonderful to have an edge inside almost every night, but part of the reason big play has regressed in importance is not just quality of talent, but rule changes. If the Jazz don't put forth a concerted effort to make defenses pay for crowding the paint defensively, the effectiveness of what may be will be limited.

That doesn't mean I'm not very excited.

jazz have had some close games recently and seem to have some fight. so hopefully this means corbins on the right track.
