My gut was in knots today as I listened to the press conference. I'm not a crier but this story got me. To hear what this innocent little girl went through pisses me off to no end. This ******* needs to die a slow horrible death.

I hope they put him in the general population in prison. Fresh with a tattoo on his forehead that says child rapist and see how long he lasts.
 
There is no way that enough horrible things could happen to the person who did this. I don't even want to imagine what the family is going through. Heart and prayers go out to them

That's exactly how I felt. Especially now that I'm a father I can empathize a little more. Gut wrenching.
 
Not that it matters, but this girl was found literally behind my grandparents house in West Jordan. I used to play in that canal all the time growing up. My grandparents are in her ward and they are taking it pretty hard. So sad.
 
This is terribly disgusting in every way, shape, and form. I hope they make that man's life as miserable as possible because he is one the biggest pieces of **** on this planet. This girl had many hopes and dreams and its so painful to realize that one sick man took it all away in a few minutes.

I hope little Sierra can rest in peace and hope her family and neighbors can somehow move on with their lives. Stories like this break my heart.
 
Disgusting.

The thing that pisses me off is that he's going to waste a lot of time and taxpayer money defending himself, appealing the penalties, and costing taxpayers tons (either for his execution or lifelong sentence).

Sometimes, for real serious and obvious cases like these, I wish we could bypass the whole process and just take his sorry *** out to the West Desert and end it.

I hate to think that our tax dollars are going to defend this guy's very expensive defense, appeals, and punishment. If he's sentenced to death, he'll still live for years and years with our long and frustrating appeals process.

I heard that the neighbors are looking to move out. I can't imagine what the families (of both Newbold and this jerk) are going through.

And what was the motive?

And typically, don't most pedophiles have long lists of victims? I seriously doubt this was the first time he ever raped a child...
 
Is this guy really that stupid? Didn't change his clothes for 3 days, steals a car, & robs a bank. All within just a few miles? Did this guy want to get caught?
 
It's **** like this that makes me the paranoid parent that won't let my daughter out of my sight and check on her 3-4 times a night just to make sure everything's all good. I cannot even imagine what her parents are going through.
 
This kind of incidents are hurtful even to read. It makes me wonder how can such humans(!) who commit these crimes can be existed in the world! I want to ask as if it's the devil's or God's job but I know it's noone's but that goddamned disgusting, vile humanbeing's very own crime.
