So before you flame me, think about this.

1. Obviously Deron/AK never got along. Deron is gone.
2. Coach Sloan's old school style didn't work with AK.
3. We play defense now.
4. When CJ slashes we are nearly unstoppable on offense. Ak is a better slasher then CJ.
5. Ak would improve the 2nd unit and make our team deeper at both the 3 and the 4.

ok let the flaming start. And yes I know AK has said he wants to stay in Russia.

This team has no need for AK's whiny ***
 
I do admit that AK would be amazing as a defensive addition to this team.
And with the wings getting the ball much more, AK's passing ability will start to show much better.

There's no way he'll sign up for that much though.

Wasn't AK seeking a multi-year deal at $7-8M/per? I thought that's what I read when the FA period began. He then made the declaration about staying in Russia for the rest of the season. Obviously, he did not receive the kind of deal he wanted and his agent and he decided that it was either more important to save face or build good will with his current team.

I predict he'll end up with New Jersey. There was the rumor of him signing with the Nets right after the strike ended. Then, I presume, someone had secoind thoughts (perhaps Deron spoke up?). But with Williams likely leaving (unless they get Howard), AK could be a key acquisition for NJ.
 
Any team in the league able to sign AK at $3.5 wouldn't bat an eyelid. Get around 7 or 8 to convince AK and you're starting to get serious.
 
The OP is a tard, but I agree with his pipe dream. I would love to have AK right now, for all of the reasons he stated. And by "Love", I really mean, "I still want to have AK's baby, and if he comes back, maybe he'll choose me for his freebie". A girl can dream, can't she?
 
Even AK at 5 million for the rest of the year would be worth it. Who would be deeper then the jazz? And all this by under the luxury tax. The way the jazz have been playing, AK would thrive!

2. And Ty's will?
3. So?
4. AK is not a better slasher than Miles. AK has essentially no slashing ability and when I say slashing ability, I mean as an offensive weapon attacking the hoop.
5. Our 2nd unit is just fine.

7. AK would eat up precious time Hayward, Burks and Co. need.
8. AK doesn't lead in any way, shape or form.
