So at one time there was a little icon on each thread that would automatically take you to the last post in the thread. I guess it's gone?

Click on the time the post was made. The "12 minutes ago" or actual time given. Will take you to the last post.

Click on the dot next to the avatar of the OP. That takes you to the last post you've seen.

Thanks for the tips! Very helpful - if I just want to get right to the very last post in the thread, I'll tap the time of the last post, as DD mentioned.
