Sloan is back

So.. this offseason Ty has brought in:

- Malone as bigs coach

- Sloan as "his" advisor/mentor

... I didn't know Ty has this much "power".

Stockton is next...to come in and coach Schroeder....

Really the only thing left to teach Coach at this point is how to perfect the art of saying mother ****er, and Sloan was the best at the cussin business.

LOL.. Monson: "What does that mean, senior basketball advisor?" Sloan: "I don't know."

Perfect question.

Reality - listening to Rigby it sounds like a head scout and mentor for Ty.

Ya

He's smart. Giving minimum impact positions to franchise legends is a food way to dissuade those with pitchforks.

Dear God, this!!!!!

The Jazz are obviously trying to help Ty succeed. That's pretty big of Corbin to let these guys come back and help him out.

If anybody thinks this will cause any issues (other than amongst fans) with the coaching staff then you don't know Sloan, he's old school and wouldn't do anything to undermine another coach. If you don't know that or think other wise you would be part of the group of fans parenthesized that see's and reads into things what they want and not what was actually said.

I think this is cool bringing in people from Jazz past (even if it ends up only being helpful to fans like me) to keep, reinforce and not let the "Jazz Way" get lost and fall to the way side during these changed and this new chapter of Jazz basketball.

I think most fans enjoyed or were jealous when other teams were able to do this with their ex players or coaches and I'm glad to see ex players and coaches want to continue to be involved and help achieve (hopefully & eventually) something they themselves were unable to accomplish during their time here.
