Sltrib- The Party line on Roster changes

I think there is a chance that Raja has a much better year this year. Last year he was trying to return after basically sitting out all year, he quickly got frustrated, then the team exploded.

In order to keep his frustration in check, he needs to understand his role. He's a bench guy now. We need 15 solid minutes a night from him. At least I hope this is his role. I don't want 30 min of Raja while Burks and Hayward rot on the bench.

Corbin must have been blind if he keeps Hayward and Burks on the bench and play Bell more than 20min.

it is very good news that JAZZ will see what they got first. Trading MILLSAP without checking how this lineup works is stupid.
I feel great about new JAZZ team, we look ahead instead of looking where Dwill find big three.

I wonder how much Marcus Thornton would cost? He lit it up in Sacramento during the final quarter of the year.

Anyone know the status or whereabouts of Kyle Weaver? Who's interested?
I have always liked Weaver. I didn't get a chance to see him play with the Jazz (literally could not unless someone wants to find me some footage), but it seems he played well (enough).

Of the guys listed in the article, Roger Mason is the only one that remotely interests me. And he's probably done anyway.

They mention an 11 man roster at the moment, but I only count 10:

1. Bell
2. Burks
3. Evans
4. Favors
5. Harris
6. Hayward
7. Jefferson
8. Kanter
9. Millsap
10. Okur

Free Agents we aren't signing are Elson, Fesenko, Kirilenko, Miles, Price, Watson.

Who's No. 11? Is it Miles, figuring we'll pick up his team option?

KOC should be looking to answer three questions:

1 - Can I get Watson back?
2 - What scrub do I sign to run around Jazz practices?
3 - Will Boise guarantee Kanter 35+ mins a night?

That's it.

We picked up his option just before the lockout began. We currently have 6 PFs under contract, 4 SGs and 1 PG.

With 11, we should re-sign Watson and offer AK two years, 10M. If he isn't willing to take it, I say let him go elsewhere and go after someone in his mold, at least physically. A long 3 or 3/4 hybrid.

idont agree with sending Kanter down to Boise. this years schedule is brutal with backtobacks and backs.gotta be prepared to have alot of bodies ready to play minutes,so everyone stays fresh and maybe prevents injuries from the wear and tear.Idont see anyone go to the nbdl and improve. If you want your rooks to improve play them with the big boys minutes on the court ,not watching and getting pinetime.

This is very sad. This will take time away from good developing players for nothing. Grrrr.

This just makes me wonder more about the Jazz plans for SF? Are Hayward and Milsap now small forwards (3) then? If not, Butler or Mason makes little sense.

Can the Jazz make it work with Hayward, Milsap and CJ at SF. And Bell, Burks, and veteran free-agent at sg? Bell could barely play on back to backs last year, his body is not going to withstand a compressed season.

Maybe they have a trade in place for one of ther bigs?

I wouldn't be surprised if we merely signed another SG and go with what we've got. SF would be handled by Miles, Hayward, Evans, and Millsap.
