So, the time is coming. Let's start talking to some post apocalyptic scenarios. In a few decades, I really think there will be a major conflict and a war that would change the course of mankind. It would be based on energy and fresh water resources. World War III if you prefer to call it.

Japanese guys are arming themselves silently ;) I had few Japanese friends, and I really couldn't comprehend their sense of humor. I guess they think that they might start by shooting whoever smiles!

P.S. Although many of the popsci articles are shallow, I can't help myself but to visit the popular science site often.

Apocalyptic scenarios?

Major world war breaks out and nations resort to high level nuclear blast that release EMPs. No power, cars, phones, planes, boats (beyond row boats).... Worldwide human population drops below 1 billion.

This thread reminded me about the new NBC show Revolution that will be on this fall. That may become one of the few shows I watch other than Jazz games.

I feel you about TV. I watch the Jazz, Denver Broncos and The Walking Dead. That is about it.

I guess you guys don't understand that aliens are in charge and they need us. There is no way they will allow earth to be destroyed. Relax and enjoy life.

But you probably thought Tebow was the one exception until a few months ago.

Nope. I liked the guy. He had that fire in him but he clearly needed to greatly improve his passing. I would have liked him to stay and learn under Manning but that ship has sailed.

There are only two good things about Denver:

The Rockies? Pfff... Hahahahahaha...no.

Go Jazz, Broncos and Dodgers (not a true fan of baseball, just used to go to Dodger games and eat Dodger dogs as a kid)

Nice toy, Japanese people are so into this kind of stuff(Actually so am I). However it's not a product of the highest robotics-tech-level. As far as I understand some entrepreneurs want to make money through an idea which is there for many many years.

The concept, on the other hand, is like a dream for some base and a nightmare or an apocalyptic indicator for the near future for some other base. I'm among the first base people. These toys are not dangerous and won't be as much as the current weapons.

As I told about myself before, I'm a SF/Fantasy junkie who is raised by highly imaginative-religious sufi mystics. I believe there won't be a doomsday for a long long time, even though almost every religious people believe the opposite. So although my priority is more humanitarian-tech, I'm all for this kind of stuff too. Actually I'm now searching for joining to the project of Dmitry Itskov about brain transplantation to a cyber platform.
