What's new

So can we officially say we got the best player in a good draft?

His ability to both stroke it from 3 and get to the rim is incredible.

If this shot chart is who he is going to be for his career, he will have HOF potential. The ability to take over a game at anytime he wants is there. His guy will have to defend the 3pt line where Domi can create his own shot anyway, or just blow by him for the layup. When Rudy comes back and starts setting those high picks, he's going to have even more space. His assist numbers should go up to as defenses focus on stopping him.

He does have the ability to dominate a game whenever he wants to and the great thing I've noticed in November at least is his consistently high motor. The first half of the Clippers game was the only half that I remember wondering where he was. By the end of the game though, Austin Rivers was proclaiming Domi to be the best rookie in the leaugue.

Let's also not forget that Kyrie Irving isn't going to let Tatum do what Mitch does on utah

Tatum can't do what Mitchell does. Tatum can hit 3s, score in the mid-range and fill the lane, but Tatum doesn't create off the dribble to generate looks for himself and teammates. It's not like Tatum has this treasure trove of abilities that the Celtics aren't utilizing. His game is fairly limited.

What’s funny is how anyone can consider Simmons a rookie seeing as how he went to camps, practiced, received treatment, trained, etc. with his team for a whole year.

DM is the best true rookie in the 2017 draft. I hope the 45 raises high in the rafters 15 - 20 years from now.

I guess it's too early to say he's the best, but there's nobody from that draft is rather have than Mitchell.

He's about the dream draft pick. He's hyper athletic, can hit long 3s, plays defense, is extremely confident shooting the ball, is a much better passer than I think anyone thought he'd be, has an absolutely infectious personality that is parts positive and passionate, and he actually wanted to be here.

I mean is hard to write the script that for a rookie here and make it believable. I couldn't be a bigger fan of the guy.

I always thought this was a stupid rule. Only new players to the league should be able to win the award. According to Simmons contract he is on his second year.

I keep seeing "D-Wade and Lillard", but I see James Harden with defense. Way too early to say but comparison wise as a homer.

This is the perfect comp:

D Lillard O, A Bradley D.

And I'm not at all biased by the fact that I invented it during summer league.

By watching him play for a year now.
Oh good lord really. He dis

He did all that stuff in college. Dont talk out yer ***!! He has the total package he's a very different player then Mitchell. Mitchell is a 6-3 combo guard while Tatum is a Prototypical 6-8 small forward. Hes not supposed to run the offense, but with that said he had and showed the complete game at Duke!! What the hell is this garbage you are spewing?!?! Watch the video posted above. It's a scouting video. He doesn't need to be set up for his points, but as a sf, he's supposed to be set up and he defers to Kyrie, like everyone on that team does. Don't give me that ****
