What's new

So....Exactly why is Hayward not starting the rest of the season......

If my memory serves, DWill started about half the year.

Yeah about half, while Chris Paul was being named Western Conference Rookie of the Month for November, December, January, February and March.

I always thought that DWill could hold that against Sloan. Don't know if he ever did or not, but it didn't exactly work out in the end for them.

Would it really have killed Jerry or the Jazz to let Deron compete the minute the season started?

Like this lineup, I don't like Millsap guarding Wallace.

But I don't like CJ guarding anyone, I hope CJ can stay in front of him. We might have to rotate our new god Hayward to Wallace.

Well if there is anyone capable of guarding two men at the same time it is Hayward.

Bring someone off the bench is not necessarily a sign you think they are playing less well than a starter. Bell has commented that CJ was the better player this year, but they needed a scorer off the bench.

That said, is Millsap coming off the bench? I think that works better for him and us.

ReppedI thought that all season. Millsap and Miles off the bench playing 30 minutes a game, is what Utah needed all year!

He is probably looking at player combinations. Favors will likely come off the bench next year unless there are personel changes. So you may see Favors and Hayword on the court together often. So this gets them acustumed to playing that way. Get them some experience against some of the less talented guys while working on how well some of the older guys work together.

I wanted to see how Favors matches up against Aldridge considering Camby is out. Too bad that Favors didn't get rewarded for the great game he played in LA. Although Corbin might have used his missed FTs as an excuse...

I don't think right now it matters who starts, from what happened last game. I think Corbin will be switching guys in and out like he did last game.

Ty is experimenting. He has a golden opportunity to see guys in different lineups in real games that don't matter. Who starts or doesn't is irrelevant at this point.

Good point. Another reason might be to maintain the trade value of CJ. $4M is cheap for a starter. I think Utah will pick up Miles' option, but KOC may try to package him in a trade.

Please tell me that in some deranged thought mgmt is trying to increase his trade value.

In the last 12 games, he's 57.7% from downtown. Hell, he's over 45% for the year too. Looks like we finally have a SG. Now we need to get a legit 3. Harrison Barnes anyone?

At this point something this pointless is not even worth complaining about. Hayward not starting this game changes nothing for the future.
