What's new

so let me get this straight

jazz couldnt win on the road, could win on back 2 backs.
now they finnally can.

and they cant win a game at home.

sigh
when will the day come jazz can do BOTH not one or the other.

what gives

discuss. if i had to choose i'd rather choose winning at home>

cus yeah its ur ****ing home thats where your the man. and also fans at home PAY to see you play and win. so atleast you can win 4 out of 5 times at home.

So far the Jazz have had a pretty tough schedule at home. But I expect starting soon the Jazz well pull it together and get it going at home. I think part of the problem at home is the Jazz just expect to win. They haven't played with the same passion they have played with in the second half on the road. I think that changes soon

I would much rather see us win more on the road at the expense of a few home games. That said, we will be just fine at home too, just not invincible like we have been in seasons past.

Orlando won more road games than home games in 07-08, then they followed it up with 59 win season in 08-09 and a trip to the finals.

Winning at home will come. It always does for the Jazz. It's encouraging this team can fight back and win on the road, though. That's something we rarely saw from them a year ago.

Are you drunk, Dutch?

Agree with Sean. I'd rather see them finally winning on the road because that is where they've struggled in the past. The wins at home will come, hopefully sooner rather than later.

"smoke and mirrors?".....that's what I would have called this thread...in fact, I was fixin to start one but read this first and it expressed similiar feelings I have. How are the Jazz winning? How can we be 8-4....and still look pretty much discombobulated on offense? I'm trying to figure it out but can't! Perhaps it's the defense, but that at times looks pathetic. We certainly seem to be doing better taking care of the ball....with few 20 plus turnover games, which seem to be common place last year. We have had some pretty flukey wins....but then, they still count, right? We are a better team than last year record wise, but are we more fun to watch?

At season's end...I'd have no problem with the Jazz posting a less than stellar 30-11 home record as long as they duplicated that same record on the road.

Besides what has been said about the Jazz expecting to win at home I also think AJ and Bell press even more (especially AJ) wanting to prove/please the fans and then it just compounds onto itself.

I agree with this. Jefferson seems to really want to play well in front of the home fans and is thinking to much instead of just playing. I think that changes with him getting more comfortable with the offense.

Yeah, I agree. You can't really blame the guy. We've poured our support into him-- that always mounts pressure. I'm sure he'll get over it.

I think even Deron put too much pressure on him with his 'I'll make you an all-star' comments. Kind of a silly thing to say before he even starts playing.

I recall when Korver came to the Jazz he had a similar problem with performing at home, shooting much better on the road. After half of a season he fixed this, and hopefully this will be similar for Bell and Jefferson.
