What's new

So there's a game in 10 minutes...

Ingles not getting that ball inbounds is absolutely inexcusable.

Don't blame it all on Jingles, though. Players just stopped moving. And the Jazz needed a 3. Ingles' only option appeared to be Trey, who came out and stopped with his back to the basket. Burke was blanketed from behind and was NEVER going to get off a shot; he would have been fouled over the back and gone to the line for two. In hindsight, QS will a) analyze why players didn't continue to move, and b) tell Ingles he should have hit Trey with the pass. It at least sets up an opportunity to make the first and then let Gobert and Kanter try to tip in an intentional miss of the 2nd FT.

Just finished watching the game and I am really disappointed. The kids worked their butts off and just couldn't get over the hump. The ESA was AMAZING! When our fanz are in the game than the atmosphere is pretty special. Oh btw I am not cheering for losses this year! I want my Jazz to win every game. I said all along this loosing thing is going to be a one time thing for me.

Some quick thoughts:

- Gordon has to wake up earlier. He is too important to just sleepwalk through the first half. And what is up with Gordon's shoes? Come on bro...

- I like what Alec did offensively. He took good 3 pointers and drove to the basket when he could. Defensively tho he wasn't there at all. Not even his on ball defense.

- Forget about all the Derrick or Enes talk at Center. Rudy will be the starting Center going forward! The only question will be who will start next to him? Is it Derrick? Is it Enes? Will we draft a PF with our 1st round pick? Or maybe we get a free agent? I don't know what it will be but we have at least a chance to find about Rudy/Enes and Rudy/Derrick. My proposel: Give abou 10 minutes to Trevor(he isn't playing any ball anyway) and divide the other 86 minutes through Derrick, Enes and Rudy. Enes and Rudy are starting the build some chemistry but we have no idea about Derrick and Rudy. Gotta find out.

- Never ever ever ever ever play Novak any meaningful minutes(other than the end of half/game situations on offense). Please coach.

- I am not scared about defense going forward at all! Once we have more of Dante @point and Rudy @Center we'll be fine.

- I can't say anything about Trey anymore. He just doesn't cut it.

Let's go Jazz! And let's beat the Wizards on the road!!!

Favor's sprained ankle may turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Loved seeing Gobert's minutes increase. He's making a positive impact on both sides of the court. Looking forward to seeing how Gobert and Kanter work together on the upcoming road trip. Gobert's defense may be able to mask Kanter's defensive lapses better than Favors'. And Gobert definitely makes more of a difference when it comes to opposing guards' dribble penetration.

Loved Exum's defense on Wade.

How bad am I for admitting that I wish Burke would go down with a sprained ankle? I don't think Exum and Clark could do worse than Burke and I think they could do much better.

So the Favors injury should result in more time for Gobert (4assists last night!) and Kanter, but jazz need to see if favors and Rudy can share the court.

I loved the line up to end the 3Q...Exum, Hayward, Evans, Gobert, Hood. Closed a 10 pt deficit to 4 points in 2:10.

One thing I'd like to see this offseason is for us to strengthen our front line. We only have 3 bigs. I have no idea why jeremy is still on this roster. Booker is more of a tweener. Even if its a stiff, I think we need another big.

Gobert is awesome.

Booker is a great fourth big. He needs to start shooting threes again though.

I think Gordon is told to back off early to get the other players going. Pretty sure it is Quinns gamepaln.

Shoes - I agree. What the heck. He looked like a pimpled teenager the other day getting used to his body...

dude, he's 27 already

Does this mean he doesn't get any adjustment period to the NBA? A rookie is a rookie is a rookie.

His ceiling is probably a good bench piece, but to claim he won't improve because of his age is super stupid.

Nowitzki improved in his thirties. but that't just Nowitzki.

For all I know Ingles is a good shooter. It's baffling when I see him miss some of his 3s.
