Some guesses about the team for this year

Even though noone can be able to get sure what's gonna happen with new roster full of youngsters and Corbin, better to guess some actions about the team.

#This year we are gonna play in fast pace not a la last year's rockets but faster than last year due to our athletism and physical condition. (This can help us to get some easy points from the transition offense and help Favors and Burke to score in high percentage.)

#More PnR with Favs and Burke or Hayward and more PnP Kanter and both. In some matches we are gonna say Favors is hall of fame due to all his easy but efficient high PnR with back court (Some turnovers will happen due to screening for sure). Also, Kanter is gonna trust on his outside shooting more and more. This will help him to score in more efficiency and not push the situation all time to post up unbalanced way.

# Burke will show promising moments in PnR situations but try to be hero like Burks while pushing it too hard. He's gonna fill the stat papers well except the efficiency and turnovers.

# The opponents still will not respect our outside shooting so we will see lots of double teams against Kanter while posting up and lots of early or late passes from him and turnovers yet he will be our only offensive weapon after Corbin's classical inefficient time outs.

# we will be dominating inside and getting all boards thanks to our front court. Biendris will work when Favs in foul trouble so Kanter will play some PF too and they will be good tandem (Sorry for Evans and Gobert but they will not have enough chance to be mentioned for comments after games.)

# when favs in foul trouble or substituted, we will see Kanter's all flaws in PnR defense due to his slow legs and uncoordinated lateral quickness.

# This year we will be even more sure Burks can not be a PG but a good 6th man who can score high in short time. His 3 point shooting will be average at best again. Also, he will use some early offense and make us discuss his basketball iq.

# Hayward will be perfect glue guy and point forward who will increase his value in the league and he will be the second player who will have all advantage after Favors in the open court and fast pace but he will fail most of his iso situations when the game 's tied or etc.

# In the beginning of the season, we will be losing most of matches when we are visitor but make some surprises by beating OKC,Knicks and losing against Raptors, Bucks etc.

# 35 win will be succesfull for the optimistics and failure for the pessimistic in the end.

You underestimate Kanter bruh. He's actually pretty decent when it comes to P&R defense. Definately better than Al. Suprised you feel the way you do. He's may not be elite, but he's not a liability either.
Enjoyed the the rest of what you had to say though.

What? I thought Kanter had fast feet and was excellent helping and recovering.

You sure we are both talking about the same guy? You don't mean Al Jefferson do you?

Kanter's PnR reading is not so good. When the opponent tries to make high PnR, he always tries to be so agressive and tries to stop it so high so he finds himself in difficult situation for recovering. That also gives high chance Favors to put him into foul trouble. He's good in position defense against the guys attacking the rim without fouling but bad in PnR positions. Even though it's still better than Al, he's gotta improve his legs and lateral quickness for sure.

Yea i agree with you but still he's mediocre at best in PnR situations and gotta be better

I would be surprised to see this continue very deep into the season. It simply makes sense from a business standpoint to increase the value of the guy we have for years to come over the guy who is going to walk next year. Especially in a year when you have already committed to developing the youth. I see this season as an investment and Biedrins has no place in this teams future.

If you would know Corbin and his coaching, you would not think opposite of it. Also, as i read some posts some guys overrate Gobert here. You think Favors make lots of fouls, watch Gobert fouling out in 10 min.

you didnt mention burke. there is a arc-distance matter between nba-ncaa.he just had adjustment problems.I see him as a contributor with 10 ppg , 6 apg

I thought Gobert only fouled like 5 times in 5 summer league games. I mean obviously he's going to have to adjust more and learn from experience, but I wouldn't be so quick to cut him down.

I hope Burke has those numbers. Those are really impressive for a rookie point guard.
