Some random thoughts watching old jazz basketball games

A update, I'm about done with gathering the highlights from my mailman mix, I haven't decided on a song yet but will shortly.

Anyways some random thoughts while watching old games..

Watching Malone run the fastbreak is really something I can watch all day. Even when the defense got back he was still running past 3-4 guys and the way that stockton always found him to me is a thing of beauty. Add to that Malone's hands were excellent, Stockton made the comment during his speech that Karl could catch just about any pass he threw to him and that is definitely true.

Watching 'The Brown Bear' rumble down the paint and try to throwdown dunks on guys was one of the more entertaining parts of a game.

Thurl Bailey was pretty effective offensive player in the late 80's, he had his spots on the floor that his jumper were pretty much automatic from, and his length let him throw down some nice dunks, I think I will make a Big T mix after I finish the mailman one.

John Amaechi's time with the jazz was comical, watching him go in throw a pass to no one in particular than get sent back to the bench by sloan.

I've heard the comment that CJ Miles is like the Chris Morris of the jazz 90's. Style is very similar and very streaky shooters, that can't be really relied on when the game's on the line, i can see that comparison. CJ is still kinda young and can improve but you gotta wonder is CJ's peak Chris Morris NJ Nets version?

I know B-Russ get's some hate for the Jordan stuff, but watching him he was pretty steady, reliable player, that fit pretty well on this team and could hit a big shot when needed.

David Benoit was not quite the athlete that I remember as a kid, I think he was a good athlete but not up there with some guys we've seen like a Ronnie Brewer.

Maybe I can make a Horny trick shot mix one day, he was so good at making the most difficult shots

Agreed 100%.

I often wish I had every game they ever played together at my fingertips to watch. Those two were an incredible duo in basketball. Proud to be a Jazz fan simply because of those two.
