Sources: Utah has expressed interest in re-acquring Deron Williams

Will Hayward stay if the Jazz get swept in the first round? I don't think so. Which is why we need to solidify our PG depth. We're going to play the Clippers in the 1st round, we'll either have homecourt or not, but our opponent will be the Clippers. If we make no moves at all, it will be a quick and easy sweep for the Clippers. For christsakes, they destroyed us on our homefloor WITHOUT CP3. At least we know Deron has always been the CP3 kryptonite.
Whatever, I know deep down the Jazz will do nothing...

This idea that Hayward will leave if HIS team that HE leads under-performs baffles me. I mean, if Hayward doesn't lead this team to at least one first round win we're worried that HE will decide the team isn't good enough for him? If he can't find his way to get at least one first round playoff win maybe he isn't good enough for this team. Maybe you've got it backwards. Either way, seems like a silly thing to get worried about.

Durant effect. I'm the leader and failed as a leader. This team isn't good enough for me, let me go somewhere else lmao

Or HE will realize that HE is effing good and HE didn't get support from his teammates and that made HIM lose because HE plays a team sport.

HE would also realize that other teams make moves to maximize their chances of success and that if HE wants more success HE should pack HIS bags.

DL's downfall may end up being putting too much faith into the development of his young guys and valuing flexibility too much... and balance tests... ****ing balance tests.

Flexibility does not do a lot of good if you never use it to pivot here and there.

What would it have cost to shore up a weakness (either the 4 or 1) and cut a PG who has fallen completely out of the rotation and is an UFA this summer?

And I agree re: the balance test, Forget ******* ballerinas and find players who can either shoot, play tough (or both).

Players who can make shots are so underrated and it can cover up weaknesses in their game. Just get some damn shooters.

Someone with a cool head come here and tell us hotheads why we shouldn't be pissed off for yet again Lindsey didnt make a smart proactive move. Being timid in this market will not get you anywhere.

Let's make sure that D-Will is actually going to Cleveland before freaking out. I'm not convinced that half of all NBA sportwriters actually know that we have a team in Utah. So far there is only assumptions about D-Will going to Cleveland.

No, it's a pretty forgone conclusion unless someone wants to pick him up off waivers.

His teammates like Gobert, Hill, Hood, Favors? The ultra talented group the Jazz organization has surrounded him with?

Our sportswriters are saying we aren't interested so....

Uhh, so he wants Utah to mortgage draft picks this year to sign half year rentals? I think Hayward is smart enough to realize the Jazz best opportunity to win are the next 2-4 years, not this year.

If he has all of those guys at 100% then sure... By all accounts Favs won't be able to get right until offseason. Hood has a knee issue, Hill has a toe issue...

Why does Lebron want extra help when he has Kyrie, Love, and a host of good role players... because he knows **** happens and you have to be ready.

It would have cost us nothing except hurt feelings from Dante or AB... It's not just this one instance its a collection of instances... Living at the salary floor... not the cap... the god damn floor likely doesn't show your commitment to winning now. Which is what Hayward cares about.

I for one would not blame Hayward for leaving.

@cappy smurf

I guess we have to keep kicking the can down the road to that point where the Millers spend NBA-style money.

Ya, we are nice enough to ask him if he really wants to play for CLE.
