Lucky you. Get the wrong look from Quin Snyder and you disintegrate into a heap of ashes. Best not to risk it - even in a blowout against the Dubs summer league team.

I've only seen Exum play live twice, but each game had moments where his ability playing defense in the paint stuck out a little.

I agree. Bad game for Rubio. O.K. On the other hand, Rubio career APG 8,2/7,3/8,6/8,8/8,7/9,1, this season 5,4. I think is not suspicious to be a bad passer, so, maybe the system has something to do with it. Anyway, you´re right , bad game for Rubio.
Please, when he plays a good game, i would like to read your posts. As i wrote in the last game , when he plays well 1 post , when he plays bad no limit. Unfortunately, Dante is not ready to carry the team through the playoffs this year, perhaps next year will be. So, please, a little more support for Ricky, it will be good for the whole team

I agree Ricky's assists are down because of the system. He's not going to average 8-10/game. There's too much ball movement by Utah for that and not the old Sloan PG-centric P&R to the PF. Ingles and Mitchell get their fair share of assists.

But, tbh, I doubt I'll ever be a Rubio fan. He looks for his shot way too much and ignores Mitchell. Maybe if he were a better shooter, but he's not. Yes, he'll have hot games. But 41%/34% is NOT efficient (and it's a career high). I also think he's overrated as a defender.

I want to see the Jazz bring in a shooter at the 2 and have the ball in Mitchell's hands all the time. Donovan's role shouldn't be to go stand beyond the arc while Rubio dribbles around for a jumper.

as a defender is obvious that he suffers against super quick opponents but he always try to help to his teammates.
In reference to " he ignores Mitchell and he looks for his shot way too much...", o.k, i think this is trying Mitchell not to shoot 40 fga a game..., c´mon, Mitchell is a stud, but one player can´t win anything. What do you expect? Mitchell doing hero ball en every possesion and the rest of the team opened? That is embarrasing and boring to see as a team fan and as a player is so boring to see a mate shooting all the attacks... As a Coach you have try to get involved all the team.If you don´t feel involved you´re not happy, if you´re are not happy you don´t fight enough

The first sentence reveals your bias. The second is a false conclusion based upon your bias in an attempt to justify your first sentence. And I'm sure I've told you this before, but I'll try again:

- Mitchell has the highest usage rate on the team among rotation players.
- Mitchell shoots the ball every fourth possession, no-one else on the roster is even close to that (Burks, Exum (!), Crowder, and Rubio - in that order - are all under 1 shot every fifth possessions).
- Rubio's assist rate/100 possessions is almost double Mitchell's.

Mitchell shoots MORE and passes LESS than Ricky. He is NOT ignored by Ricky or anyone else. Quit it with this false narrative.

I'll address the second part first - Rubio's defensive rating is higher than Mitchells. As for the shooting aspect, Mitchell is 44%/34%, so he is just as inefficient - or even worse if you consider the greater volume of shots he takes.

Also, Mitchell's current stats hide just how poorly he is really shooting. Many posters have said that he is slumping "recently" but it's worse than that. Mitchell had a hot shooting streak in the first week of December that boosted his 3Pt% to a season-high of 37.7% and he's been declining ever since - in all games since that peak, that's three and a half months since December 5, his 3Pt% is just 32%. Before today's game, it was 31.5%, or a tick above Exum's rookie 3Pt% of 31.4%.

On top of that, Rubio gets to the line slightly more often, and shoots a better FT%, too.

Mitchell is having an outstanding rookie season. But he is still a rookie, and making rookie mistakes, and his shot selection is his current biggest weakness. And that's entirely on him - it's not due to Ricky or anyone else. And unlike another certain player on the roster who has never learnt to tell the difference between a good or a bad shot, I'm certain that Mitchell is smart enough to improve.

Mostly the guys that don't play much have the most opportunity and are pretty vocal - Stockton and Niang. Thabo was quite vocal as well. Mitchell was probably the most vocal of the main rotation guys, but it's hard to say because of the way everything centers around him - he has an impressive aura.

Rubio and Mitchell together has been fabulous. Never thought that they could work together as a starting unit as well as they have, but I’ve been proven wrong for most of the season. I’m especially impressed by Rubio realizing he needed to improve his shooting and busting his *** to do it. Very Jingles like to have that kind of development st this stage in his career. Hope to see more of it this offseason and to have it rub off on Donovan and the other young guys as well.
 
For the first time since he returned, Dante had a very solid game. That jump shot is still stiff and ugly but hey, if he's making them who cares?!! I'm still surprised at how explosive he is, if he can actually start to finish better around the rim more consistently he can be a dangerous backup for us.
