Who was the person that suggested/predicted the Big Al trade last year? Who ever it was, I'm curious who will the Jazz trade for this year?

And Honz, who will the Jazz draft this year?
 
People had been suggesting trading for Big Al as long as I've been here (2007).
 
They will draft Derrick Williams and then trade his rights to Cleveland for the #4 pick, this years Cleveland second rounder, if they do the trade with Detroit for the #8 we will pick that up as well and we may even get one of their Miami future picks.

With the #4 pick we take Knight, with #8 we take Bismack Biyombo. We sell the second rounder for cash or for a protected future 1st! The trick is the #12, I hope we can retain it and use it to get Iggy from Philly. #12, Memo, Raja for Iggy.

Hayward/CJ
Iggy/Cj/Evans
Favors/Millsap
Jefferson/Biyombo/Fes

I believe Derrick Williams slips to us, I don't believe he is a super star in the making or that he would ever supplant Favors who has the right size and athleticism for the position. With all that said, I believe Knight is the next best player and he fits the Jazz best and Williams fits the Cavs best. This is a trade that is taylor made for the Jazz. We pick up some assets. I wouldn't mind however if we kept the #12 and picked up Chris Singleton.

I don't know how it will happen but the jazz are going to come away with

--One of the Euro's: Monti, Jonas V, or Jan V.

--Singleton or Klay

--Shelvin Mack.

Shelvin Mack is absolute, but I will tell you which Euro and decide on the wing player later when my prediculator is more finely tuned.

There is only one problem with this, besides, well all of it.

Any plan that keeps CJ and Fes in a mid- to mid-major role is an automatic fail.
 
I think Honz got a new girlfriend. I haven't seen him around for a while. Give him another month or two and he'll be back.

He answered the question once already. He said he does not have a strong feeling for anyone in this draft like he did for Hayward in last years draft. He said if he had to pick someone at this point it would be Knight, if I remember correctly.
 
Kanter and Jimmer/Hamilton. No Euros. We may pick up Minnesota's 20, which will nullify the no Euros.

I made a trade for Al thread about a month before we got him. Booyah heheoeepeecaca!
