splitter to the jazz

Makes sense if we don't draft a big. SA can easily afford him though. With Duncan set to play even less minutes might take over 8 million a year to pry him.

If you are going to pay a backup big close to 10 million dollars, you have to give up either Favors or Kanter.

No thanks.

I am a huge splitter fan but with the direction of this team not seeing an ideal fit a y more. would rather work a deal to get tomic over here instead. he would be half the price of splitter.

This. And with Splitter, Corbin could still justify giving Kanter less minutes than someone.

I don't think Tomic will be as $-friendly as you imply here. But, yeah, I think I'd rather see him come over than see us sign Splitter.

Is there anyway you guys think spurs would take favors kanter and Burks for Splitter?

Is Dennis Lindsey god?

To teh windows to teh walls! Til the sweat drops down teh Splitters balls.

Let's trade Favors, Kanter and Burks for Splitter, then trade Hayward for Bonner. We would have ourselves a team then.... or at least we could get 30 minutes per game combined out of Splitter and Bonner. Til the sweat drips down Bonners ginger balls!

Wrong.

Anybody surprised?

So, a small market team that will have to pay Favors 10-12 million, Kanter any where from 10-15 million and you toss Splitter in there for 8-10 million can afford all this?

The cap is about 65 million. So you are looking at 28-37 million (43%-57% of the cap) for TWO positions that aren't as important in the wing driven league?

That leaves you 28-37 million for TWELVE positions. Toss in 10-12 for Hayward and you are now left with 18-25 million for 11 players (or roughly 2 million per player).

You have your opinion, and I have mine. Splitter isn't worth it. I'd rather have Millsap at that money that Splitter. I'd rather have Landry for less money.

Your thinking is still broke as ****. If you can acquire talent at the right price (i.e. at a price that means they are tradeable when you need cap space or additional assets), then you do it. Kanter is a couple years away from his payday, should we just put that money in a mattress or should we build a ****ing team?
