Locke was reporting he heard a rumor that Pop is leaving his "3 bigs" home for Utah game tonite.

Resting for upcoming push.

I'll take anything.....

If that is the truth then that is one of the most embarrassing things that the Jazz have been through all year.

Good if it's the one way we can get a win.

I don't think we could beat the spurs if they left their whole team at home. That's not me being pessimistic towards the jazz--we just can't beat the spurs, ever.

What happens if we lose this game?

Also the Bucks play at home tonight. If they find a way to win and the Jazz lose then they switch places in the lotto pick and Utah would then be sitting on the 9th and 12th picks instead of the 9th and 13th.

Edit; At this point, with the tight standings, pretty much every game will have playoff/pick implications.

Originally rumored by @JMcDonald_SAEN, but still unconfirmed:

Spurs playing coy, but wouldn't be surprised if none of Big 3 board flight to Utah
Stephen Jackson to Manu, upon exiting arena tonight: "See you when we get back."
Asked if he was flying with team to SLC, Tim Duncan offered a wordless shrug. As if to say, "I don't know."
Danny Green, on the other hand, is in tomorrow. "They told me to get my *** on the plane."
It's not just about tomorrow in Utah. A back-to-back with Lakers and Memphis awaits Wed and Thursday.
Then Phoenix on Saturday. Then a West Coast back-to-back-to-back Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. It's 8 games in 11 days.
Because there's a game tomorrow. RT @texastoutah512 why didnt we see Blair and Captin Jack today?

Manu stays home to rest, but no matter-- Stephon Jackson and DeJuan Blair didn't play last night so will be a fresh look and fresh legs against the Jazz tonight. Pops' genius is his ability to get players to rise to the occasion and finding times for them to do it.

Early in the season he rests his key players by letting young guys and rookies get significant experience in games playing with and against 1st team talent. Jazz could learn a few lessons.

Favors started early in the season, Kanter was playing more early on and Burks was as well.

Pops has a slight advantage being an entrenched HOF coach with well established vets who all buy in under him. Probably a better situation to bringing up young players within a system.

But yea, a lot of teams could stand to learn from Pops and the Spurs franchise. Much as we all are tired of watching them win it's really a treat to see a team that good while our own sputters.

Burks was playing more at the start of the season? It seems to me like he's been playing a lot for the past month.

That's the way I remember it. The splits say I'm wrong but I don't think DNPs count against MPG. Injuries have been inflating his playing time lately.

even if it's only manu staying back, i still think we'll see very little of TD. pop tries to limit his action in b2bs, and honestly, i think SAS is aiming for #2.

they have won enough now that they have essentially clinched the 1 or 2 spot. but the top seed puts them in the 1-4-5-8 bracket, which likely means a second-round date with the grizzlies, who they have a hard time with. that's their worst matchup nightmare, and i think they like their chances of beating OKC in a road series more than beating memphis in a home series. so when i read that they're going to start holding guys out for rest, it didn't surprise me.
