Spurs offering George Hill?

According to Draft Express:

"NBA sources say San Antonio has offered George Hill to Milwaukee (#10), Golden State (#11) and Utah (#12) in exchange for their pick."

KOC should not even have to think about this. "YES!" should have been his answer.

I like George Hill and I think he is better than Harris. If we get Hill and don't get rid of Harris, we could have a log jam at that position. I think he is only 25, he can also play some 2.

Good 3 point shooter, excellent defender,FT shooter and rebounder. Can run an offense very well. He could be an eventually replacement for Harris.

If BB is there then I don't do the deal but if he's gone, I think I'd do it

Pass. San Antonio wants a pick so they can draft Jonas V. I'd rather have Jonas in one year than George Hill now.

It wouldn't be that bad of a deal. Hill is a sure thing rotation player. Most players at 12, especially in a slightly weaker draft, will struggle to crack the regular rotation.

I'm on the fence about this one. I really like Hill, but it all depends who's on the board at 12. If BB, Burks, Jimmer or Valanciunas are on the board, I say no way. You do get instant help, but I like the potential of the other players rather than have a sure thing in a Harris replacement/backup.

How long is Hill's contract? 1 year is no beuno with no gurantee to resign him.

He is on his rookie contract. If you traded for him you would keep his restricted free agent rights. You would have to resign him but he isn't likely be that expensive under the new CBA.

Hmm I think this deserves a good hard look. I'm not sure of him backing up Harris, since he isn't really a distributor, but he is a reliable defender against guards and a somewhat reliable shooter. He would be a solid rotation player for us. I agree with most of the above, it depends who is available at 12.

If you're trading with the Spurs, chances are you're going to end up losing in the deal.

This would also give us a solid veteran/winner instead of yet another rookie. We have enough young players especially with the 3rd pick. I think Hill could be our starting pg, assuming we move Harris. If the Spurs really have been open to moving Parker, that shows you how highly they think of Hill.

Only because they will find the diamond in the rough at 12. I do not have faith that we will find a player at 12 better than Hill, so let them win.

If the Jazz are set on drafting Singleton, I absolutely agree.

And I would actually bet money that if the Spurs did end up with #12, they sure as hell wouldn't be drafting Singleton.

I don't want to find out the deal also included Bell. But there's too many variables to know if it would have been the right move.

I like Hill but I would be more interested in seeing what Utah has in store with the 12 pick with either a differrent trade or by drafting Jimmer. Jimmer > Hill in my eyes!
