Stan Van gundy on Gordon Hayward...

And the Hayward Homers react. Rather than dispute anything he said it's just easier to name call.

Why do certain players have so many homers? Andrei Hayward is so beloved and I don't know why. Is it because he looks Mormon? Burks doesn't have near the fan fare even though he's the superior player.

Assuming Hekate is Turkish, he is probably a Hedo fan. He probably has beef with SVG from the Orlando days. There are no post of his to suggest he is a Hayward Homer.

Keep trying.

Hating SVG is being a Hayward homer now? I am just not taking anything from that guy.

Yes, I am Turkish. I am not a Hedo fan, though. My simple hate for for SVG stems from the fact 1- He is overrated 2- Howard case. To clear things I hate Howard as well.

Thank you for helping me catch The Thriller in the act of Hayward propaganda.

not quite

BTW Corbin is the coach. He's the one that prescribed who shoots and how much.

Coaches can influence who shoots how much, they certainly cannon prescribe it. Most plays have multiple options, very few have a prescribed shooter.

Man it's gotten so bad that I can't tell the trolls, the trolls trolling trolls and the just plain ignorant apart anymore.

At the beginning of the season I think it was widely agreed that this season was going to see how Favors and Hayward would look being the main cogs of this team (Hay on offense and Fav on D) or did people forget that. Also most agreed he would struggle adjusting to this role as well as being less talent around him then in previous years.

So people get what they want and now are complaining about it... shocker I know.

People complain about the coaching (even more shocking) not letting players develop and Hay not being used properly (being used to much) but also complain that Hayward isn't being used right.... well now I'm just confused cause this year I thought was seeing what he's all about.

So let me give my uneducated opinion, yes this season was to see if Hay could be a first or second option and then be able to decide his worth to this team accordingly. Yes he has been inconsistent which was to be expected a bit as he adjusts and learns what it takes, however yes I also agree he has been a bit underwhelming and is likely the 3rd or 4th scoring option offensively but that he contributes offensively more to the offense than just shooting so probably the 2nd or 3rd most important offensive piece on a team.

So if he could be paired up with a true #1 so he isn't being asked or forced to be the best offensive player on the team I believe his numbers would come up to what we all hoped they could be.

So I think if you look around well managed teams contending teams you would look at the 3rd or 4th best player on those teams and that would fit to about what Hay should be paid (which is around the 8-10mil range) just go look at IND or SAS for example.

Spurs had a lot of guys willingly sign with them for less money.

Pacers still have two of their best guys on rookie contracts (Stephenson and George).

Yeah for the Pacers you look next year, Granger drops off and George's new contract kicks in and takes up that. As for the Spurs comment there is some truth to that but the principles still apply and there are other teams that could be used but IND and SAS are just the first that came to mind.

Careful r00t, this sounds a little bit like complaining and also sounds like what everyone else is saying

Is it really that bad as a player to want to prove that you are worth more?

I guess I missed the part where he said that Hayward was a bad dude. It seems like he said that Hayward should be playing like a player worth more than $10 million per year if he wants to earn whatever number that may be. Which he did. And he's right.
