I dont think the guy in the orginal story should be ab3ke to do what he did. He is guilty of murder. But in this case, I think this man should be well within his rights to protect himself with a weapon.

That man and his daughter explicitly went out looking for a fight. She's an adult woman BTW. This is her dad before the protests -

No, absolutely not. You can't go looking for a fight and when you find one "stand your ground" by shooting the people you instigated a fight with.
