Reminds me of something I did "back in the days." A woman colleague at work - a big baseball fan - wanted to check the scores (LA was playing a day game) and asked me how to do it. This was about 13 years ago, so the early days of sports on-line. I said, just type in the address for CBS sports or ESPN. When she asked me what the URL was, I didn't know one for sure, so I think I said just try
www.espn.net or something like that. Yep, back in those days, porn sites often purchased URL's that were very similar to legitimate sites. You can guess what happened next: She types in the URL and up pops a web site featuring adult videos for sale. I turned about three shades of red and expected to be hauled into HR. Fortunately, she knew it was completely unintentional and thought it was hilarious -as did everyone else in my department.
