This man speaks the truth.

Unless you're for gay marriage.

Unless you're pro choice.

Unless you're for pot legalization.

Unless you're not a Christian.

Unless you're against blue laws.

And unless you are against virtually anything that violates their moral code.

But other than that, sure, they are totally against the government involving themselves in your life.

This is an oversimplification and a broad generalization.

Unfortunately, if anyone looks at a political party for sanity or consistency they are going to be dissapointed. I just vote my conscience, but since I am a registered voter in the state of Utah, my representatives in the electoral college will vote republican.

Only part I could make an arguement against. To broad but yes I thought the same thing as the tone of your post.

Funny that you bold something that I think is a great point, and take something totally different from it.

I found it funny that he said his teacher said to read about the news rather than watch it on television .. as if newspapers/journalists aren't biased and spin the story.

Now, explain your take.

Your totally ambiguous statement led me to think you were saying something else entirely.
Regarding your intent, I agree with his teacher. Yes , there is bias everywhere, but on balance quality newspapers provide much better information than TV shows, if you have time to read through them, with a lot less spin and crap, JMO.

I assume you are a liberal? Only a guess because most newspapers have a gross left slant.

I find that certain newspapers > TV as well, P. I would obviously stay away from something like the New York Times, but I usually read the editorials of the Globe and Mail on a weekly basis. Pretty enlightening, I find.
