My teachers hole argument Was that you Never saw any thing on TV about Obama and how he has never shown a US birth certificate and That by reading things online from credible Places you can find a lot more info and not the Stuff TV wants to hide from you

Nope .. the truth, if you're asking, is that I have become quite cynical of all media in the last 15 or so years. I recall when merely the facts were reported (at least with much greater regularity) but now it seems the massive majority of reporting is written as an opinion piece, with carying degrees of transparency. It's so difficult to sift through all the BS for the truth now that it's pathetic. You fact-find what one says, find it doesn't line up with other truths .. only to find out those truths were slanted as well.

I'm not a right-wing nut .. I'm a guy who hates how powerful, yet unrestricted, the media has become in shaping our belief systems.

you Know more then Me but judging off What you wrote isnt the problem the People who let there belief systems be shaped by BS and media? I mean I think Ill watch TV or read the internet for News or info but I wont let it convince me no matter what. I dunno Im sure there are bad news TV shows and bad newspapers online But im not saying Ill believe everything I see or read And everyone else shouldnt Either I think but then again like my dad always Says the only thing dumber than a human being is a group of them

Easier said than done. Watch one network long enough and you'll be a dem, watch another and you'll become a rep .. no, we're not robots, but anyone who says these networks don't have a blatant slant (especially those that say they don't) are either fooled or being disingenuous.
 
Parties are nonsense. People win better campaigns by knowing how to suck up to the right people. Ron Paul made too many enemies and will end up being that little guy in background in a hopeless campaign for president. I don't love Obama, but who else do we have LOL, Romney? I mean just look at that charming smile! Encumbents are too powerful in the state of Utah and if they are not Mormon, you can forget about it. The politicians that get caught in sex scandals and fraud are the ones who forgot to place nice with their political friends. It was just so tempting to **** on your parade.

I find him utterly safe, status quo, and lacking bold initiative with regards to our economy, but still superior to Republican alternatives like Bush or Romney.
