What's new

Steph Curry is the best shooter ever

....I would concede that he was good, very good! But "best ever?" Still no. When he accumulates some record breaking stats over half a career, then we can start comparing who's the best ever. He hasn't even made 1 all star game yet! He hasn't won a single 3 point shooting contest yet! You've got this kid in the hall of fame and then some already! What are you going to say when the Spurs hold him in check this series and he shoots below 40 percent?

4 years into his career and he set the single season record for most 3pointer made.

Steph Curry's 23 threes made in his first six playoff games is a record.

Probably will set a few more before the playoffs are done.

You gonna be watching CarolinaJazz? Or will you hate some more and miss history being made.

Curry is an insane shooter. But still, golden st has no prayer if he is to be their only scorer. Golden st is lethal once they get bogut, Barnes, jack, green, and Thompson going. I thought curry went a lil too much 1 on 1 last night. Especially in the ovetimes when he clearly was gassed.

....I'm going to be watchin....cuzz I'm pulling for the Spurs to win this thing and they have to beat the Warriors next!

Yeah, that is definitely his biggest issue. Their entire starting lineup is dangerous offensively, but Curry shoots too much sometimes. Then in the 4th teams ramp up the D and he passes, but his teammates are out of rhythm because they have only taken a few shots all game.

Is david lee going to be playing soon?

.....excellent observation and correct! Happens to alot of teams that have these type players who dominate the shooting and then when the defense tightens up, they pass to a teammate who then says" "Hey! What is this thing I have in my hand? Haven't seen one of these things since halftime!" That's why the Spurs are my pick to win this whole thing. They have a "go to play" as oppose to a go to player! Anyone of the 5 guys on the court during the last 2 minutes of a game can take the shot and make it!

"Since scoring 44 points in Game 1, Curry has struggled with his shot, missing 25-of-37 field-goal attempts over the past two games."

.....yeah, let's put him in the HOF tomorrow!

For once, I agree with CJ. The practice of anointing players entirely to early is annoying as hell. LeBron James is only now living up to the hype of 5-6 years ago.

Nash from 05-06 to 08-09 shot over 50% from 2 every year and shot 43.9%, 45.5%, 47%, and 43.9% for a total % of 45.2 over the 4 year stretch.
He also played in most of the games, without an injury season.
He shot spot up shots, off the dribble shots, and catch and shoot situations.
He also shot a high volume of shots over that 4 year stretch.

I hereby anoint Nash the Greatest shooter of all time label based on those 4 years.

Who's with me?

Curry is great, nobody is denying it, but who knows if he will end up being a Jason Kapono all time shooter, or a Reggie Miller all time shooter when it is all said and done?
I personally think injury will cut his career short, but it would be a pleasure to see him have a good long career.
Lets wait and see what happens before we break out the crown.

I'm not ready to put him up there with Miller, Hornacek, Ellis, Nash, Rice, Bird, Mullin, Nowitski, Allen, Richmond, Stojakovic, Price,or even Kerr.... and he hasn't even had enough time in the league to be in a Korver, Kapono comparison yet even if he will likely easily pass them up because he is not one dimensional as a player like they are.
