I agree with Smith. Big Al shouldn't be talking like that no matter how slim our chances. We still have at least one more game. That kind of attitude means he's got no fight. We don't need that.
 
Good bye big Al,you are a coward and have been kissing Timmy and the Spurs but all series.You have no heart,and if the Jazz keep quitters like you on the roster then they are gutless quitters of an organization.
 
Um, ya thats what I said basically in my thread.

Al Jefferson is pathetic. Good on ya Steven A for calling him out. Only thing is though, is that I dont like light being shed on him when I want him traded. Double edge sword really.

Having traded Deron may help Al's stock. GM's can say, "Once we pair him with..."
 
At least they respect his game. I've got nothing against Al. He's a good player. Maybe he's not a franchise player, but he's a good player who had a good year and can score the ball at a high level.

Harris basically just said, "we didn't bring it tonight, but this game should be easy to forget". They had a segment about it on SportsNation

What Al said, was honest, what Harris said, was just dishonest pandering and he was just saying what he thinks he should say.

Look, I think dealing with the media as an athlete/coach would be awful, and 90% of the questions they ask are pointless and unthoughtful, which is probably why 90% of sports interviews are filled with dumb cliches; but it's always bothered me that when somebody is finally honest with the media (which is what you would think the media wants), they then get lambasted by said media.

They want them to be honest SO they can lambast them.
Harris' quote was forgettable and the media can get no mileage out of it. Jefferson's gave the media some material to work with.

btw, I like Al. But he's a frontcourt T-mac. Too bad 'cause I like Al. Oh well. Hopefully his trade value is high.
 
Okay, so it is bad for a Jazz player to give up on a series because there is one game left, but it is okay for Jazz fanz to give up on a player even though there are several games or seasons left on his contract? Interesting.
