Great book.
The last 1/4 of the book really picks up speed and is a quite a joyride.

Edit: Read "The Mist". it is one of his short stories and I loved it. It is in the book Skeleton Crew and is the first 130ish pages. Also now published as a stand alone. Got made into a movie that was ok, I guess.

Stephen King movies never compare to the books. I refuse to watch anything by Stephen King until I've read the book. Because the books are awesome and the movies are bleh.

It, was a fantastic book. I've been meaning to re-read that one.

Some of Kings best movies imo.... Shawshank redemption, stand by me, The Green Mile, Apt Pupil, Misery, The Shining, Secret Window, Dreamcatcher, The Running man, and Firestarter.

Shawshank redemption, and Stand by Me are awesome. It's funny movies based on his short stories usually turn out better than the ones based on Novels, they also were not really books in his normal Genre. Those other movies were pretty good as well. Though none of them touched the books. My favorite book by King "Pet Cemetery" was a terrible movie, same with IT. Needful Things was a decent movie, just didn't come close to touching the book (probably top 5 books for me of his as well).
 
I feel like Just The Tip gave me a lot more than that. How many times can you dislike one post? He is trying to find out. lol.

Apt Pupil was a shaky movie imo and did not remotely capture the essence of the novella. The biggest issue with producing a great version of it is finding such a young actor who can act so damn well.
 
Not a good time to read "The Stand". Sick people everywhere.

The end is near.

PG- I've never read that one. I've wanted to, but I feel like I'll have to start writing if I do, and I don't want to make that kind of commitment. Lol.
