Stockton and Malone Highlights vs. Celtics in the Boston Garden 1989

...beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!! Did you notice very little, if any, dribbling between Stockton and Malone? Hard to believe we never won a championship with these two guys playing for us in their prime. Had to be the refs.

Malone for three!!? Lol nice work prodigy

I'm trying to remember when the Jazz first won in the Garden. It was some time around this period, I believe.

What a ****ing combo we had back then. A PF who played like a PF, not like a goddamn ballerina on bengay.

THE absolute perfect tandem in basketball history. It's a god damn travesty they never got a ring.

Thanks for the highlights.

What I loved:

Warmups
Uniforms
Young Stockton
Malone with hair
Transition game
Stockton shooting the ball
Malone for three
No in game music
No slut dancers
Minimum advertising
BLUE EDWARDS, ERIC LECKNER, and MIKE BROWN all getting name checked.

What I hated:
Danny Ainge
Larry Bird
Dennis Johnson (RIP)
Kevin McHale
That the Jazz lost

Also, Larry Bird had 40 points and Dennis Johnson had 14 assists, so even then Stockton and Malone maybe not as dominating as I want to think they were.

So what I'm taking from this is that you think Hayward is gonna be a 40-8-5-2 a night guy right?

Quite typical of the Utah Jazz in the late 80's, early 90's. Dynamite performance from the big two, bug eyed look at the names of the other three teammates on the floor.

they mentioned in the game that stockton had 27 assists the previous night in madison square garden. 27!

I agree, absolutely beautiful basketball!

It's too bad the Jazz were so poor back then... Although, we're not in much better shape now. ;)
