Streaming root sports?

We had very good luck with (free) VIP League, but it worked even better using the (free) Puffin browser on the iPad. We'd play it on our iPad and beam it to the big screen via our Apple TV, but I'm sure there are other options for getting it to your TV. We lucked out several times and even got the ROOT feed. There were a few hiccups and times when it didn't work great, but overall we were satisfied with it. We held on to cable for way too long because of this issue, but we are SO GLAD we ditched it. We have Netflix and SlingTV (which is only $20/mo and no contract). Sling has all the other channels we would ever watch anyway, though we still hold out hope they'll add ROOT eventually. But 90% of the time it's Netflix so we're glad Sling is so cheap. They are owned by DISH.

Most of mine were the other team's announcers. It was a nice difference... sometimes.

I don't think so. IIRC Root is part of the Kroenke/Walton empire not the Murdoch empire.

The big one is Disney. They will ultimately decide when cable/satellite dies. When they decide to finally put together an a' la carte Disney package available online goodbye cable, hello neo-cable. We're probably stuck either paying too much or pirating an inferior product.

Good stock to buy right now?

I kinda think that if Disney thought they were going to make more money with that model they would have done it by now. I was simply saying that Disney owned content is the keystone that holds the cable/satellite TV industry up.
