Stupid Pet Peeves

When you go through a fast food burger drive through and they need to make absolutely sure you don't want the combo "meal".

Because sugar water and fatty salty carbs makes it a meal. Yes I'd like to add 1200 more calories to my lunch and pay $5 more for $0.20 worth of food.

Leaving the sticker on a baseball cap. What is that all about?
I'll add on to this with the straight billed cap. Horrible look. My son's all star cap was like this. We stuck a baseball in the brim and use an elastic to curve that ****.

Cabinet installers that don't cut a big enough hole for my outlet box. The damn box is in the wall and they can't read a tape measure well enough to cut the whole the right size meaning I now get to do it after it's installed and twice as hard. I want to throat punch them.

Typos

Just reading a company newsletter that says "pubic employees." While it's funny, it makes me crazy.

Media trying to create controversy in the Olympics or sports in general when the issue isn't a big deal (aka Lilly King/Yulia Efimova and Michael Phelps/Chad le Clos). Neither deserved all the breathless and excited talk of the announcers.

I understand that the announcers are trying to make it all more exciting, but do they really have to try so hard? Sports are pretty exciting all on their own without creating an us (good guys) versus them (bad guys) mentality.

Name something that is more obnoxious.

US centric Olympic announcing
Women volleyball pointlessly hugging after each point
Basketball slapping hands after every free throw
Baseball hitters routines

The straight billed cap and the sticker on the hat is definitely a younger generation thing it seems.

Today's pet peeve: assholes that need to virtually come to a complete stop in the driving lane before either turning right or getting into the turn lane.

Straight billed caps haven't been in for at least 4 years. They had a long reign, but snap-backs took over for the last 4 years and now "dad hats" are on the rise.

So if you are 35 and older the hats you wear on a regular day basis are what is trendy in fashion.

The "so-and-so said" style of reporting. That is, reporters/writers who just report what people say as opposed to reporting whether or not the comments have any validity.

Today's pet peeve: assholes that need to virtually come to a complete stop in the driving lane before either turning right or getting into the turn lane.

I'm repeating a driving pet peeve: Geneva Rock truck drivers. These guys are the biggest assholes on the road who think they are so big that they can cut anyone off without any recourse. I've finally put in a complaint to Orem PD about them.

As my father taught me when I was getting my driver's license: "The person with the highest bumper has the right-of-way."

Practical driving tip.
