Stupid Pet Peeves

I use one by default for all packaging now. I can't believe how advanced the science of impossible to open packaging has become.

You could build a bomb shelter with the plastic shells that encases almost everything these days.

And not only are they difficult to cut, but when you do manage it, the sharp edges can be lethal weapons.

One of my favorite tools in the kitchen are my kitchen shears. They always come in so handy!

Anyway, this isn't a recent pet peeve of mine but I hate small dogs...for the most part. Most small dogs and their pathetic owners are the bane of my existence.

Like the wrapper on cd's

I hate the way VHS tapes always stretch. And they get caught in the machine.
Also hate all the tiny white particles that get all over my typewriter when I use the correction strips.

I went to greywhale and bought 3 last week

Haha.

When people put the dollar sign after the numbers or the percentage sign in front. I've asked where that comes from when I've seen it but no one has ever responded.

example:

70$

instead of

$70

or

%50

instead of

50%

well the cents ¢ sign comes after so why not the dollar $ sign?

plus, you say "five dollars" - you don't say "dollars five" which is sort of what is implied by writing $5

so I think your stupid pet peeve is stupid
:-)

What's more important, the dollars or the cents? I think what you've actually done is made an argument for moving the cent sign in front of the number.

Pet peeve, when people are thinking of buying something or have recently bought something and they say that they "invested" in that thing. Like, I heard someone say they were thinking of investing in a PS4.

That's a purchase, not an investment.

What if they are a professional gamer?

It can be thought of as an investment because they're stuck with one ecosystem for the next decade or so, unless they want to re-purchase all their games.

The gaming system is simply an example...... it's not his actual complaint.

He was taking about people buying things (not necessarily gaming systems) and calling it an investment.

Like im going to invest in some new sucks
