Summer 2015: FIBA games of Utah Jazz players

10 pts, 11 reb, 1 blk in 18 min for Rudy.

So 20/22/2 per 36. Now if he just becomes a shot-blocker he could be something special in the league!

I'm really not worried about his shooting. Sure I'd like him to improve - and he does need to hit more FT's. But I'd rather have him parked around the rim cleaning up the glass than trying to hit mid-range jumpers.

Where is Stiches at with the deets for tomorrow's game?

No deets yet, the game is at 11:30am PST/12:30 pm MDT... that's all I know for now. Hopefully streams will appear tomorrow.

It's disappointing to see him shoot so poorly from the FT line.

From what I've read, shooting has been one of his focuses in the off-season, going to train with Dirk's shooting coach. He shouldn't be going 2/9 from the FT line.

It is disappointing but Gobert has already proven he is better than that from the line. His FT% last year was 62%.

Perhaps this was simply just a bad night for Gobert.

In Australia's game Brock Motum had 15 points on 6-9 shooting, 5 turnovers and 1 rebound in 23 min PT. A coke machine would get that many rebounds in 23 minutes.

What does this have to do with Gobert and his FT shooting?

No doubt but we don't need him regressing to Shaq-like 55% or something. We need both him and Favors to get a little better. If that happened, that would be huge.

I've got the feeling that Rudy was a bit amped up. He'll settle down as he gets more minutes under his belt.

Fair enough. But let's see how he does for a couple more games before we take that over his season long average. Basically it is to early to worry.

Dante's suited up. Seems like he's gonna play.

Q1: Dante starting. Will play SG again. Dellavedova at point.

Dante attacked a closeout. Drove in the paint and kicked it to the corner. Anderson missed wide-open 3. Dante out after 4 minutes, first one going to the bench. Lemanis doesn't seem like he likes him much.
With the exception of Exum, Australia's perimeter defense is horrendous. They are giving up wide open 3s all the time.

Q2: Dante in with 6 mins to go.
Dante with great defensive possession, steals the ball on a drive.
Needs to be much more aggressive on O.

Q3: Dante starts. Dante out after just 4 minutes.

Q4: ... Dante in. Nice cut inside and reverse layup.

Dante needs to be more assertive. He keeps deferring and keeps settling for 3s instead of just driving to the basket. :\
