Summer League Squad

If you're talking about NBATV, I'd rather not deal with the Dish company.
Oh well, I'm doomed to Jazzfanz analysis if I can't see it....maybe NBA.com has it as well..

Here you go - it's $14.99 and you can watch all the games online or on your ios devices (iPhone, iPad, etc).

Is it worth it? Debatable... I'll be getting it though.. LOL.. just too much free time on my hand.

I'm not going to spend 15 dollars to watch the summer league on my computer. I'll just settle for the over-reaction - I mean analysis- of JazzFanz.

Same here. I'd only be able to watch 3 games and on top of that, I'd only watch it to see how Burks and Kanter look.

Well KOC's comments are a departure from past summer league games. In the past, the Jazz gave too many minutes to stiffs that were never going to make the team so I will be excited if they actually play the players who are under contract.

I'm excited to see Kanter and Burks get some run. Wait, this isn't televised is it? Radio?

The first game I know is televised on NBATV on July 9th. I'm excited to see how burks game has improved. I think his potential is through the roof and he is fearless and seems to have a good attitude about everything. He could be a real game changer some day

Hmm no thanks. Sims shot 46% from the field last year. That's good if you are CJ Miles. It bad if you are a center.
Sims is def. a 3rd string C/PF, nothing much to talk about
still, I think this player may sign with a club, be it NBA or Euro.
He is big, decent rebounder, good passer and an intelligent player!

He got the ball usually far from the rim, while playing for Hoyas.
That is why maybe, he shot with low %.

It upsets me to see this many guys on the roster.

Now, just like every summer league for the jazz, they will want to be fair and get a equal look at everyone and give everyone a chance.... Which means that we wont see as much of burks, kanter, murphy, carroll (guys who will matter to the jazz future), but we will see plenty of action from a bunch of guys that wont be in the league next year.

I would like to see burks, Kanter, murphy, carroll all get 30+ minutes but i know that is not going to happen.

I understand where you're coming from, but a team that struggles to bring in big-time FA's has to find talent however they can get it.

So basically no prospect but those under contract. This seems like a waste. Kind of like this piece of **** league we play in every year.
I'm sure the players and their agents have some say. If I were an agent, Utah is the LAST place I'd advise my undrafted FA to sign with - provided he has other offers.

Let's see:
1) Favors, Jefferson, Millsap and Kanter. Not much chance of an undrafted big displacing one of those four.
2) Mo Williams, Watson and Tinsley: Nope, a PG doesn't have a chance.
3) Burks, Hayward, Marvin Williams: Solid wing rotation
4) Carroll, Evans: Jazz like Carroll's potential and defensive intensity. Evans is a fan favorite, doing Jazz clinics and the fans love to see him dunk when he gets a chance to play: I don't see either losing their spot to an undrafted FA.
5) So that leaves everyone else competing with Murphy for the last roster spot (or maybe two).

I think Sims might have a chance to make the team. All the rest are likely just hoping to get noticed by other teams. They'll all be in the D-League, Europe or out of basketball.
