Jeremy has about the same stats as Kanter is less minutes.

Scoring the same. Rebounding barely better for Kanter. Blocked shots and fg% goes to Jeremy.

These stats were sorted for rebounding. Enes leading in rebounding

I really hope Evans does well. What they need to do is put him at the 3 spot. The 4 is already too crowded with Millsap and Favors. But then again they could use him in the post for his blocking skills. And he's not a player that you would move people around for. And I don't think you could get much in a trade for him. He's the equivalent to Austin Daye(except Evans can actually play defense) for the Pistons. I actually don't know what i would do with Evans if I was Jazz staff.
 
Problem with Jeremy truly playing the 3 spot is how does he impact the game? He's not going to hit outside shots, he's not going to defend opposing 3's very well, imo, so what makes him a better 3 than a 4?

He's too light to play the 4 regularly, but at least he brings a skillset to that position (blocks, rebounds, lobs).
 
Evans does have similar stats, a little worse, but he is 5 years older than Enes. That's enormous difference. As down as I am on Kanter, and expecting much more from 3d overall pick with year of experience in this Summer League, Evens is no where near his talent level.
 
I forgot a player's development and talent is entirely represented by their summer league statistics.

Not entirely, but wouldn't you say competing against other young prospects during the offseason may give some idea of the progress made thus far during the summer?

I don't believe he's to "light" for the position. With his length and wingspan he can defend almost any 4. The only person I would see giving him trouble would be the 7 foot PFs that sit outside and hit 3s like Bargs. But then again everyone has trouble guarding big men that can hit 3s. I truly believe once he establishes himself as being able to dribble the basketball well and hit a mid range jumper he would be able to move to the 3 and play under Hayward.
 
I like the idea of Evans playing as a slasher at the SF. I think he can defend 3s out on the floor. No reason why he'd be much different from AK in that regard.
 
Do you not think about defense? Kanter can actually body up and play solid D, whereas Evans can't. So even if Kanter isn't having a positive affect on the offensive side he isn't a liability on defense.
