I don’t know, Cam Whitmore made a pretty bullet proof case for himself. Both he and Merrill with incredible Cinderella stories however - give the nod to Merrill on this one. Anyway, they both bridesmaids if K.G. doesn’t get hurt.
 
Hoopshype had a big chart detailing team player rankings from Summerleague compiled from USA Today. Keyonte was our top ranked player but fell from No. 2 to No. 25 overall. Juzang was ranked second followed by Potter, Ross, Justice and Luka. The shocker was they barely had Ochai ranked higher than the Marshall guard or the Depaul center. Either their algoritim is really messed up or Ochai has some holes in his game.

I do not know what Jordan Walsh did in between the end of the college season and summer league but holeeeeeyyyy helllll! This is a different player completely. Like he would turn down wide open threes on the regular for awkward drive/dribbling stuff.

This may be the guy we regret passing on at 28.

ochai definitely has some holes in his game, but the real problem is that the one thing he does well, he did incredibly poorly in summer league.
 
KOC and Vernon went down the list of guys to win SL MVP and get named first team and it's a pretty strong list. Not 100% bullet proof, but most of the guys are NBA players with good careers.
 
Cam's talent is undeniable. Thats not why teams passed on him though.

James Harden's talent is also undeniable. As are his poor playoff performances, lazy practice habits and his 3rd trade demand hissyfit.

Talent is not everything. Or if you think it is, you should never object to trading for Trae Young.
