Summer plans?

Bunch of weddings and circumcision celebrations. I already gave up on long summer vacations but this year had a good start since I've hit the blue sea and opened season on March.
 
Y'all should check into these Alaska Airline billboard ads. They're legit cheap flights, not 1 or 2 on the teaser rate with 10 layovers in between. Round trip SLC to San Diego is $178 including all taxes and fees. Plenty of departure dates for months, and the times of day are very reasonable.

I might fly the fam up to Portland in August for a weekender just because the flight prices are tempting me.

Definitely not missing Salem, that's for sure. Yeah, I really have no clue what route I'll take yet. I might even go Boston ------>>>>> Bangor, ME >>>>> Quebec >>>>>>>Montreal >>>>>>>> fly out of Providence. And just soak in the towns along that route. That's only 900 miles of driving. Not too bad, and I have never been to any of those places. Then I can start acting like I'm an expert in everything Canadian. Downside.....probably rushing things a bit if I do that.

12 Hour days from May 11 to July and maybe into August.

Then, hopefully, Yosemite to Newport Oregon, Newport up the coast to the rainforest in Washington. Then back down to Crater lake, and head back home.
 
Oh, I had forgotten. I may be doing Mexico City at the end of July.

Cute but jeeeez are they going to need therapy.
 
First grand-child due to be born the last week of May. Going to Germany for 2-4 weeks for work sometime this summer, likely June. Then spending a week at the in-law's family reunion watching the rednecks pick their tooth and spit tobacky juice all over the place while trying to pick up chicks, and that's just the women-folk. I swear my wife must have been adopted. The only "normal" one in the bunch.

Personally, I think I'll prolly take a road trip at some point. I was thinking of driving out to SLC and hiking Zion as part of that road trip. I've never been so I need to do some research on the weather and where I can camp and stuff. Really, any information would be helpful.
