Explain. It's TV...so it's always going to be a certain % not real, but I don't see it as being that obvious in that show. His camera crew guys got absolutely wrecked, one almost died, and they were always getting caught because they couldn't follow him when he was riding birch trees off the side of cliffs and stuff. Either way, it doesn't really matter. It's highly entertaining.

My guess as to the part that would be 'staged' is that the whole cat and mouse game is real, but that he got caught early a couple of times but they let the game go on in a sort of re-start so they could get more footage for that particular episode.

In 1997 I spent 8 days7 nights in Soldotna (about an hour and a half outside Anchorage) in July. We literally did nothing but fish and sleep. Not sure there's a whole lot to do besides that. In one 24 hour period, I fished 20 of them. But then again, I literally have no recollection of the plane ride home. I was asleep as soon as the wheels left the runway, woke up on final approach in Seattle, fell asleep again as soon as the wheels left the runway and woke up again when a baby vomited on me during final approach to Salt Lake. I have pictures of me with a fish on the line and a bear coming out of the woods about 20 yards behind me. One of the best weeks of my life.

Went to Mammoth this weekend for a friend's bachelor party...local hike was awesome!

Going to San Diego in 3 weeks. Then coming right back and moving to Idaho Falls. Dear God I hope I like it there.
 
By this time tonight I'll be landing in San Diego, new baby and all. I'll miss the Rockies v Dodgers by one freaking day!!!
