Suns at Jazz: gamethread

This is a bit hard to take as a Hornacek fan...

Jeff Hornacek usually is one of the most fun coach interviews in the league, but tonight he looked beaten down before and after the game.

Dead man walking. Jazz need to immediately make him an offensive assistant/shooting coach when he's fired at the end of the season.

And well played, dipship31. Rep'd.

Wasn't there bad blood when he questioned the Burks' pick over Kawhi? Not sure if that has been forgotten/forgiven...

I know I still have bad blood for the Jazz picking Enes and Alec over Kawai, and I might not have forgiven anyone. But horny's problem was with the godfather, KOC. And KOC was steamed.

The Suns looked beat, Horny looked detached. I don't think he makes it to April.

But since hornycheck never played for the Spurs, DOL is not going to hire him. Besides, I thought Twitter said Kobe Bryant was coming here to be a shooting coach.

Burks said he’s had better.

“It was cool. I do that. If it happens, it happens,” Burks said.

His best?

“Nah, I’ve done some things before. I’ve done some things."

You guys are ignorant as to what the definition of a dunk is. Blake Griffin help educate myself years ago. #downwardmotion #norimjoberrtouchingrequired

That was my first reaction as well - that dunk was very Griffin-esque.

To dunk like that at 6'6" you have to have major elevation - a lot of times those type of dunk attempts back rim twenty feet in the opposite direction.

Funniest thing I heard last night was a guy behind me yelling at Hayward. The guy had some mash up of Gordon Hayward and dutchbag. It was a tremendous failure. First, we were near the front row of the upper bowl, so he was essentially yelling into empty space. Second, Gordon Hayward and Dutchbag really don't blend together well. Try it, it just doesn't work. Finally, Hayward was having a pretty solid game last night. He was the most consistent, reliable player on the floor.

The best part of the game was The fourth quarter. The chick-fail-a sandwich give away promotion is brilliant. Utah people love free, so the crowd was very motivated by the prospects of a free chicken sandwich. Every time Alex Len touched the ball the crowd was yelling "foul him". People were even yelling at the refs for not calling fouls against the Jazz. The crowd moaned when Len got subbed out. I heard people calling for Chandler to be put back in the game. I got into it, my kid got into it. We had alot of fun.

We had so much fun yelling for chicken in the fourth quarter last night that I have already found when Andre Drummound and the pistons are coming to town. Jan 25 ought to be a fun game.

I agree no rim touch is required, but he never even got to the rim. His hand should be over the rim. He never got to the rim. Still a sweet play.

Awesome.
I too love the chick fil a promo.

Mason plumlee will always hold a special place in my heart for missing both free throws on his trip to the line in the home opener I was at this year.

I ended up using my game ticket 3 times that week for free chicken sandwiches. (They never took the ticket from me, just looked at it)

Btw not just utahns love free ****. Everybody in the entire world loves free ****

I prefer the Papa Johns gimmick. 1/2 off a pizza the day after a Jazz win. Used that 3-4 times already.
