aj has the talent to be an allstar and i really hope he turns in to one and the jazz just get better. i also hope he will find a karl malone like work eithic and keeps getting better
 
In 06-07 Deron's goal was to make Boozer an all-star and he did it. Not to take anything away from Boozer because Boozer earned it himself, but at times that season Deron would go out of his way to set Boozer up, even if it meant passing up another teammate who was open. You always want to reward your bigman running the break, but a perfect example was Booze's dunk on Arenas where Harpring wasn't too happy that Deron didn't give him the ball on the wing.

I also remember Deron saying how he would pump up Booze before games telling him to be an all-star he has to go out and outplay the Brand's and Garnett's and Stoudemire's and that season Boozer did it more often than not. Good signs for Utah.
 
I have no doubt AJ can get back to 23/11. Unfortunately, the West is loaded with great players. Duncan, Anthony, Durant and Nowitzki will get in every year. Add Yao if he's healthy. That leaves perhaps 2 additional F or C slots. This past year Amare was named the starting center and Kaman got in as a replacement for Roy. Also, Gasol was named as a backup center, even though he's listed as a PF.

Amare is gone, so it's possible Jefferson and Gasol fight for the last couple of spots.
 
My god Alema is a terrible interviewer. By the end of his questions it seems like he has forgotten was he was originally asking.
 
Viable PF/C to make all-star game.
Tim Duncan
Al Jefferson
Dirk Nowitzky
Yao Ming (healthy?)
Pau Gasol
Andrew Bynum
Nene
David lee
Zach Randolph (possibly Marc Gasol)
Paul Milsap (I guess he deserves to be here)

We can assume that 5 will make it from that list. I think Jefferson (and Milsap for that matter) has really good odds if Jazz are like top 3 in West.
 
Forget the All-star garbage. Jazz just need to win as many games as possible and get better as the season goes. Jazz will only have all-star nods if they are surprisingly great this season.
 
I wanna see Deron and Al in the all-star game and Gordon in the rookie game. That would mean we're off to a great start.

In order for both Deron and Al to make the all-star game, we will have to be on pace to win 60 games by the time the ballots are done.

Ya gotta believe that, even if he doesn't show it on the surface, deep down Deron is thrilled that Boozer is gone, especially since he was replaced by a guy like Jefferson, eh, Scorp?

I don't expect to hear any suggestions from Deron that management is not tryin to put a winner on the floor now. Maybe if things go sour, but not now.
