this is why Favs sat the bench in the second half.

Remember when I said Burke was the best "playmaker" from the last few drafts? Yeah, Irving is better. I was down on him taking 18 attempts per game, but he's a load to deal with.
 
Favs said his back tightened up before the game limiting his mobility. Wasn't able to move right when in the game and it got worse so they held him out of the second half

I thought he looked unnaturally slow out there tonight.

At least that explains the fouls and questionable defense.
 
Limited or not, Favors was the best defensive presence and rebounder in the game, along with Deandre Jordan. I don't like how Andre Drummond skates around outside the lane and doesn't solidly defend the post.

Wall and MKG have no chance to make the team. International ball calls for players who can shoot.

Cousins might make it if he has a stellar season that shows an improved attitude and demeanor.
 
I just want to apologize to Thibs. I said a lot of hurtful stuff back there. I was pretty emotional and didn't mean any of it.
 
If it were up to me, I'd take Favors and Sanders as back-up bigs. Cousins has to show he can run the floor and move his feet on defense rather than just swipe at people. Favors is probably the best guy to body up centers.

Team USA is going to play guys like Durant and Love at PF. They just need defense and rebounding from their centers. Davis is mostly a face-up guy right now. He'll be a good PF in international ball too.

He's taken zero time off since the season ended, from the sounds of it. Not to mention having been through the work-outs of his life with Karl Malone in the weeks preceding this camp



I'm not worried
 
Favors, Cousins, Sanders, Drummond, DeAndre Jordan and Monroe will all have a shot at the 2014 team. It'll depend how they perform this season. Two or three of them will probably make the team depending on whether D12 wants to go.

good to see him getting some vacation like a normal person while also respecting his craft. Being polite with fans from around the country too.
