Technical free throws

I'd be curious if any team out there shoots a lower % on techs. Especially ones where you get to choose the shooter from the 5 on the floor.

IMO this is due to the fact the Jazz:
a) Do not have a stud-FT shooter (a 90% guy like Hornacek and Korver).
b) Overall are in fact a poor FT shooting team (currently shooting the franchise's 2nd-worst percentage in the past 20 years from the stripe).

Just a bump to recognize yet another missed tech. You know, the kind where you let any of the 5 guys on the floor shoot it.

Way to go CJ!

We should just let Big Al shoot a jump hook from the FT line for technicals. We'd have as good a chance as anyone else on the team shooting one "traditional" style.

Huh? Didn't you see Milsap lip to Blake: "Nice Flop" and Blake: "Wasn't a flop, man" "Wasn't a flop"
I'm not a great lip reader, but I saw the word flop on Milsap's and Blake's lip after that flop by Blake

Those two were going at it

It was kind of funny that the Jazz missed 3 straight techs tonight. But my belief is you don't automatically send your best free throw shooter to the line on techs. Sometimes you use them to give a guy who hasn't been involved a shot, other times a guy who's struggling a shot. You never let Favors shoot it, but you can use them more strategically than just putting your highest percentage shooter on the line (unless you have a Korver type on the floor.)

They should just let Kanter shoot it. He's the only guy on the line that I trust on the Jazz.
Oh, and maybe Hayward

...good points!.....especially since the object of the game ISN'T to outscore the other team....but let our players touch the ball! :D
