If Don says publicly that he wants to be traded to NY does it change anything?

My guess is that Donny has been very clear that he wants to be traded but he and the Jazz have agreed to not make it public. Hope it works out well for both sides.

Yep Its very clear to me that he requested a trade and his camp is going to continue to push both sides to a deal that works for both teams. I believe that both sides have been and continue to be in continuous talks through back channels to get a deal done. I also believe all the pubic appearances by Don in New York this offseason are strategic and aimed at putting pressure on the Knicks.
 
All this does is make the teams who arent NYK less likely to offer all in packages, which they werent going to do anyway.

The fantasy land some people live in about the Raptors package/Heat package/Charlotte package etc is laughable.

No deal is happening before the season starts. Something bigger is going to have to fundamentally change before a deal happens.
 
Don has wanted out for a while and has made it pretty clear within the organization. To his credit he has kept it inside the organization and shown class when he could've been a Ben Simmons, Harden, or Kyrie. I don't know how long that will last though. A guy can't continue to be happy knowing he's basically on the trading block.
