What's new

Thank you Gordon Hayward

Great defense on Kobe for Hayward on the final possession. I know Kobe lost the ball on his own, but Hayward got in his face on the ball fake without jumping and forced him into a situation where the only shot he really could have put up without traveling would have been a left handed scoop shot from the free throw line. NICE.

This could be a part of the game thread, but I think it deserves to stand alone in its own awesomeness.

This makes me wonder where he would be if he had been playing all season with decent minutes.

hayward is a good defender in general, he has a great basketball iq, both in offensive and defensive end

Seriously. His last two games better prove he deserves to get the start every game, unconditionally. We've been seeing him develop all season, but he has really turned a corner recently.

Ive got two things to say. Whoever said Gordon Hayward sucked is an idiot. Yes that was me.

Gordon should have had three more assists tonight. He played fantastic.

Is anyone still questioning KOC's selection of Gordon Hayward for the 9th pick?

So Gordon finally started shaving last week then? About time.

Somebody was going to eat crow, KOC or me & the other 2,000 idiots that booed last June. I'm looking for some soda crackers...crow is awfully greasey.

He's a totally different player. He looked tentative up until a couple of weeks or so ago. All he'd do is take a pass, dribble once or twice and then immediately hand the ball off. Now he's playing and shooting with confidence. Deron was flat out wrong to throw him under the bus in the beginning of the season. Nice to see some flashes of what Hayward MIGHT become.

And if Hayward AND Favors both improve significantly over the next year +, the Jazz could have a pretty good team in 2013.
