and the fairytale is over

Come on man. He had now two horrible games against the Wolves(btw Pekovic scored 27 against us while Derrick wa splaying just the other night but nobody seems to care) after having a good stretch so far in 2014 and now everybody is down on him again? Things around here a pretty tough. It seems like every week there is an other player we have to be upset with. Why are we drafting Trey? Gordon wants too much, he is not good enough! Alec can't ball! Who is this Enes guy? Seriously broodies I really love it here but I hate to read all that negative stuff bout our players. I may be one of the biggest Kanter Fans but I'm also his biggest critic and I hate how he played the other night! Having said that I love all of the core guys(Rudy included). These players are amazing young men who were drafted by the Utah Jazz(I know Derrick wasn't but he was in my book) and I want all of them to be successful in the Jazz family. Are they all perfect? Obviously not but they are still so young, have shown flashes of their talent and have so little experience that I would say let's just be a little more patient. And that's not just on you franklin.

One must have wildly swinging emotions to be a member of this forum. No time for patience and letting things develop. Especially this year. It is that worst time to play the youth and let them learn some consistency.

I don't know who everyone is you're talking about... not all of us got up on him after two fluke games either. Kanter's progression has stalled out completely. The handwriting is almost on the wall.

Also, if that mild half sentence got you worked up then you had better not look into what I wrote about him two seasons ago. It might cause heart attacks.

Consistency is not a thing only for the players to achieve in their numbers. It must also be in their roles. Especially when they are young and need more experience with a regular system that they can define their games. Especially for Kanter. I'm not saying that it's not asking much and the Jazz have every right to shift their goals about him. But do the Jazz have a better option than starting him regularly no matter what and giving him a consistent 35 a night as their most raw player? There is a hole in there.

I have been off the Kantfense wagon for a while and I wasn't bout to get crazy amped due to a few good games. This guy has poor iq and is just plain terrible on defense. Trade him now before the rest of the league realizes he is a poor version of al Jefferson.

Well he certainly makes us worse so I am all for giving him 35 min a game this year.

As like the most who support the tank. So the hole I'm talking about should be Tyrone Corbin then, who doesn't allow Enes a starting position for the "pointless" season, and basically does not assist the tank.

I think Hayward, Favors, and Burks have all stabilized into 80% of the players they will eventually be. Kanter remains a complete wildcard. Goes from looking like a borderline bust to possible all star on a game by game basis.

Good post but honestly feel that burks might not even be close to how good he could end up.

Hard to say though, maybe he is at that 80% mark but it just seems like he gets better and better.

Tonight i saw moments of shut down super annoying style defense by burks on bradley beal away from the ball that was getting in beals head.
I have noticed burks getting much better at rotations on defense too and his overall awareness and iq just seems to be getting better and better.

I think getting guaranteed good minutes has done wonders for him.... the last few years his minutes and position/role were so inconsistent that i think we are just getting to see what he can do now

Starting with the Thunder game a few weeks ago, when Burks got in Fisher's head and he drew about 4 straight off-ball fouls on Fisher in the 4th quarter (IIRC, Fisher ultimately fouled out with about 5 of those fouls coming against Burks in the 4th), I've noticed Burks does mess with guys a bit on both ends of the court.

The role he had was perfect tonight. Bring him off the bench, but still give him 30 mins. Same with Burks. And, at the same time, limit the mins of RJ and MW to < 20. If Corbin were to do this EVERY night, I'd be happy with Ty. Most likely though, Burks and Kanter will be back to reduced roles against Sacramento.
