Man, I was really tough on him in the beginning of the year. He's made me eat every word.

Me too.
I hated the lyles pick so much.

At this point if I could choose between devin booker, miles turner, justice winslow, herzona, stanley johnson, and a few others I'm not sure I wouldn't pick lyles over all those guys

The real question is - can become a decent defender? I just don't want to see the second coming of Kanter.

less crucial because he makes for a much better passing & shooting third big than Kanter (not to mention more embracing of that role than Enes was). We can afford to have Lyles not be a stalwart on D. It's hard to play 5s out there with bad defense though. We went to the WCF with Booz.

That speaks volumes. I hope Lyles becomes another Gobert/Hood pick for Lindsey.

One thing I notice about Lyles is he never travels off the catch and drive on the perimeter. There are players in the league for 8 or 9 years who still shuffle their feet off a pass trying to get that extra step. I'm amazed how under control he is with the ball in his hands. Offensively, this kid could be Boozer with size and a 3 point shot.

Seven players with double digit scoring - Hayward (18), Lyles (14), Mack (13), Gobert (12), Favors (12), Jingles (12) and Hood (10).

Gobert (12 points / 14 rebounds) and Mack (13 points / 12 assists) both had a double/double. Favors (12 points / 9 rebounds) missed joining them by one rebound.

Jazz are still (I think) perfect when holding teams under 90 points. Great team win. Loved what Lyles and Jingles did off the bench. They both need more minutes. I'm hoping to see more of a playoff rotation with 8/9 players getting any minutes.

Start playing every game like a playoff game and see if it helps when they actually get there.

Thank god for the good play of lyles, mack, neto, ingles recently.

Hayward, hood, favors, and Gobert (the big 4) have been really up and down lately but the supporting cast has really been stepping up.

Hopefully bookers minutes go down and it would be nice if ****ing alec ****ing Burks would come and snatch up all of cj's minutes.

I couldn't be any more pissed about burks missing so much time.
Very frustrating and the media coverage has been so poor. There should be some explanation for the huge setback

Even when it looks like he is going to commit a turnover, like when he stumbles or gets trapped or up in the air with no where to go, he always seems to make a nice pass at the last second.

And his free throw shooting seems to be improving too. (Seemed like a weakness most of year from what I remember)

I'm frustrated by Burks progress, but any time it's a weight bearing injury you need to be careful. I'm just hoping that he can get back before the playoffs, shake off some rust and then be an X factor in the playoffs. There's no tape of the Jazz playing well this year and having him healthy. Could be the difference in stealing a few playoff games (hopefully).

Jazz need to finish 8-4 to get to 42 games. If they play well in most games they should win and then beat the teams they're battling for playoff spots/position with. . . they can easily get there. Have to beat Houston and Dallas for sure, then they have 5 games against the TWolves, Lakers and Suns, plus the Nuggets. Those are all winnable games. Then, just for fun, steal one game against the Warriors, Spurs, Thunder or Clippers. Screw 42. . . I want 43!
