The rumor (I personally believe it) is that dl wasn't thrilled about trading up for burke but others in the organization, namely corbin, really wanted burke

Even if there is any truth to that, Lindsey is still the GM and is charged with making the correct final decision. That seems a little odd to me as well considering Lindsey most likely already knew that Corbin wasn't going to be around by the time his contract was up.

It's all good. Jazz needed a PG. Trey Burke was considered the best PG and a top 5 - 7 player in that draft. Giannis was a risk/reward pick that's obviously paying off.

It's all good. Jazz needed a PG. Trey Burke was considered the best PG and a top 5 - 7 player in that draft. Giannis was a risk/reward pick that's obviously paying off.

I agree. Im not even dogging Lindsey on that pick. It was risky but we were hurting for a PG badly. And it's easy for us to look back in hindsight and decide it was the wrong pick. But that's how GM's get rated anyway. Overall Lindsey has been outstanding with his picks. But he's got one stain so far and that is Trey Burke.
