I get your point, but I'm not sure that both Rubio and Mitchell qualify as "team-first players with no egos". That label should be reserved to players who don't usually take shots that they can't make. There is a good chance that both Rubio and Mitchell will finish the season not only shooting bellow 40 percent from the field, but significantly bellow. In the case of Mitchell, his fans will probably argue that he is still young and can learn. The same argument will probably be made about Rubio, who is still somewhat young, despite being playing basketball since was in diapers. In Rubio's case, I hope that all that constant and incredible communication between him and Snyder, which has been reported, would serve to make him improve his shot selection in general. Nevertheless, he still needs to learn how to make lay-ups at a decent percentage, since he has being truly truly awful at that during his career.
