You know why? Because he stopped taking off dribble jumpers. :)

I've been bitching about this for 2 years. He actually has a very nice shot with his feet set.

this positivity would have been appreciated when we were all begging to trade him for a used tampon.

I love thee, BJB

Proud of Burke for what appears to be significant sustainable improvements. I just hope he doesn't give up on trusting his teammates. Yesterday in the first half he did a damn good job finding teammates and they were missing earlier. Then he got hot and then played a little selfish in the second half. Hopefully he did it solely because be got so hot. But that selfish play some what cooled him off.

More than the offenses side of the ball though his defense minus the game against Denver has been so much better. Occasionally he's looked like a plus perimeter defender.

You may be right but it's hard to be better defensively than #1 in the league
The one truly great PG they have faced so far ate them alive. You are right though they seem to have figured it out and now are looking like last year.

It is awesome to see how much improvement Burke has shown so far this year. On both ends of the floor. I like the role he is being used for as well. He still shoots too much so put him on the floor with the guys who seem to need a scorer. Then either him or Burks can light up the backups while Hayward and Favors anchor the starters.

I'm pretty sure every offense we have played other than Portland has been ranked in the bottom 10 on offense. Still not 100% convinced in our defenses ability to stop explosive teams without Exum.

I'm worried too. I'd give Exum's injury to Trey in a heartbeat.

I'm worried about our defense against teams with dynamic back courts. The defense against Portland was troubling as they are one of the many teams with a PG/SG combo that could be problematic going forward without Exum.

i think the top backcourts are still going to absolutely corrupt our defense like against Portland, and that's not necessarily a knock on Trey. Even when he's switched on playing D he's just not as quick as the elite players and is too short. However playing within the offense and playing more catch and shoot and open shots = he defn can have a big role on the team as time progresses. If he goes back to the one on one BS, off balance long jumpers etc then he'll eventually become expendable. Hoping it's the former.

btw how good was that pass by Ingles from the baseline, he knew Trey was hot and picked him out beautifully.

The good news is that we pick up an Exum-like player to pair with Trey next year. Neto as a third option is pretty damn tasty. . .

Dal, this did it. I believe in Burke. Not a perfect player but man he has dramatically improved. him on our bench is huge for the jazz. Helps provide scoring and an ice cold mentality that teh jazz need.

Burke, I was wrong. You belong and I hope to see you with the Jazz next year. Rock on Burke!!!

damn right you do. 16 points on 6-11 shooting. 2/3 from 3. Another game where he shoots >50% from the field.

Guys. This isn't just your typical small-sample size **** anymore. Anyone with eyes knows that Burke is for real.

Burke is now a solid positive for this team. He makes the Jazz better. His bench scoring is critical for the Jazz. It helped the Jazz hang with the Cavs all night long.

Which preseason are we talking about right now? This one or last year? How much are you loving preseason, though, braugh? Woot.

how are you loving the regular season braugh.

Burke has been great so far this season. I'm ready to admit he might be a good backup PG.

them back-handed compliments are just freaking hilarious right now.

Name 5 back-up PGs playing better so far this season.

This is the best you have? Honestly the stats still favor Dennis because 1) that 3 point % is unsustainable. 2) Schroder's 4.6 APG + 11.4 PPG > Trey's 1.6 APG and 16.8 PPG.

But hopefully Trey keeps up the play as his role coming off the bench suits us well
